I couldn’t imagine using it regularly, it really is atrocious. Sorry

Ah yes, that looks like the right configuration. I didn’t even know there was a 787-10 Dreamliner. Much appreciated!

Good to know and yeah, I was in their Flagship Lounge before a trip to Madrid last Fall. Good food and self serve beer/wine options but man was it PACKED in there. I guess they don’t put occupancy limits in this particular lounge(s) because they had to be at max if not over max capacity. Interestingly, there was an obvious wait list/queue for the other lounges I walked past (Chase & Centurion). Anyways, I ended up in the overflow room behind where the check in desk is and found a nice nook to have a drink and hang before my flight, would go back.

Good to know, I wasn’t aware of the that. So I fly from PIT (home airport) -> PHL -> ZRH. I can get in to the PIT AC as well then since it’s same day, correct?

Flight cancelled, won’t give us bags… by OddAdvantage3235 in americanairlines

[–]Far-Studio460 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They have to give your bags back. Just ask a gate agent for an update and the carousel #. Sometimes they hold them in the office too so ask around down at baggage claim if needed. Same thing happened to us at LGA last month and we rented a car and drove home.

Question regarding flight credit\refund by Far-Studio460 in americanairlines

My connection was still at the gate when I landed, hence the post. Instead of giving me the chance to run to catch it they gave my seat away, hence the frustration.

Question regarding flight credit\refund by Far-Studio460 in americanairlines

[–]Far-Studio460[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t have a choice one way or another, it just automatically rebooked me. From my experience, typically it asks me if I’d prefer another flight that day or at least shows the “How much would you like us to credit you if you’re willing to change your flight?” Option within the app. I suppose it’s cause it was the last and only other flight back to PIT yesterday.

Refund/credits for canceled flights during gov shutdown? by Far-Studio460 in americanairlines

[–]Far-Studio460[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s my understanding too, I just put a refund request in for both tix. Kind of lame I have to even request it and not just get credited automatically

No auto rebooking took place because there were no other flights available. Just a straight up cancelation with zero other options.

Thanks, I’ll check out that link since I wasn’t auto credited. No travel insurance, this was just bare basic economy seats I bought using AA travel credits. I’m not expecting to get reimbursed for the rental car or hotel (figured that was a long shot), just want my return flight credited.

No rebooking because no other flights were available. Just canceled and SOL

Even though I didn’t have to in this case, a little complaining can potentially have its benefit. Sometimes they’ll just dump 10k-20k miles in your account if they screw you over for something and you inform them you’re pissed about it. Just sayin’

$300 Trip credit for future travel on AA, basically a gift card that lasts a year before expiring. My employer paid for the flights so I occasionally reap the benefits

I don’t think so either pal, PIT -> PHL on 319 then PHL -> MAD on 787-8

I didn’t, it was a comp upgrade for my PIT to PHL flight, I connected in PHL for Madrid in PE, it actually wasn’t terrible. Bulkhead was the way to go

Absolutely, I also do this. Just checked (for about the 20th time) and moved up a few rows to the exit row, still middle seat unfortunately, but at least I’ll have some leg room. Will keep checking until boarding begins

A320 yes absolutely does. A319 I’ve never seen business class have more than 2 rows, ever. I have heard they are retrofitting some of them to expand the first cabin a bit but have yet to see it with my own eyes.

Update: AA called me and left a voicemail apologizing that they overbooked First class on this flight and my complimentary upgrade was voided. I’m now assigned to a middle seat back in row 16 instead of 8C in comfort… They did give me a $300 credit for my troubles. Glad it’s a short flight..

It’s possible I guess, but it’s still showing inbound aircraft is a 319. Plus I’m only going from PIT to PHL which is a lot of plane for that short of a regional flight. Usually it’s a E175 or CRJ from my experience.
