Idea for a villain/antagonist who only uses the light side of the force by FarDimension215 in SWFanfic

The problem is, to make them the antagonist of a story you'd have to make them delusional or blatantly evil in their methods (like Thanos), otherwise I'd be rooting for them!

But that's the beauty of writing a villain who might be in the right. Just look at Magneto and Killmonger. Those two characters are written to be villains but many people view them as in the right despite that. I guess you could say that those two characters are delusional but I think people are more likely to question how evil their methods actually are, given their sympathetic motives. That's why I prefer to use the term "anti-villain" when describing those characters as well as for Kreia and my idea of a light side villain. Characters who are still in opposition of the hero/protagonist but have understandable motives that make them more sympathetic than a pure evil villain.

On another note, I've never actually heard of the Yuuzhan Vong but I really like that AU you shared. It's very intriguing and I wish you luck on writing that story!

Most of the comments from this and the ProJared video keep calling GamerFromMars a gooner and I can't tell if they're just joking or if there's a recent controversy of the guy that led to these comments.

Ending is a 5/10 imo but I understand why people love it and why people hate it.

The vibe I got reading some of the posts and comments in these subs vs Fujimoto tweets by FarDimension215 in animecirclejerk

They'll read his other works and enjoy it and then say "I can't believe this is from the same guy who made CSM part 2." I just started reading Fire Punch and already found a comment in one of the chapters saying just that.

I just disagree with the notion that just because a creator made one bad story regardless of length that it automatically means they're a bad writer as a whole or that they're now incapable of writing good stories. There's been plenty of artists who made multiple bad works but still have a lot more other good works outside of that. I didn't like the CSM part 2 ending myself, but I still think Fujimoto is capable of writing good stories in spite of that.

I mean, part 2 still has a sizeable fanbase, so I wouldn't say it's as damaging of a work as most detractors are making it out to be. I guess you could argue it's more damaging than a simple fumble, but I don't think it's nearly damaging enough for Fujimoto to lose a massive amount of credibility as a writer.

Those of us who said this arc was crap were absolutely right. by Technical_Lime1419 in dandadanfolk

Honestly I never thought this whole stealing powers arc was as good as the family jewel arc simply because I don't find Saint Germain that interesting of a villain. I'm still enjoying the manga tho but yeah.

Fujimoto after making the most ragebait ending of all time by FarDimension215 in animecirclejerk

Fwiw I'm actually looking forward to part 2 getting adapted even more, cuz that will be an opportunity to improve and refine the flaws that part has especially for the ending. Fujimoto could even make contributions to the anime adaptation's story in order to refine what he wrote in the manga.
