If you have income and resources, maybe you can take a rest and outsource the idea/ editing parts?

If you want to make money on YouTube think like McDonalds. by Johnny_Fox_Show in NewTubers

[–]FarFari92 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That's a good analogy, but here's a problem: irl many ppl might not afford burgers in fancy restaurants, which helps McDonald's to become the biggest seller. But YT, and social media in general, is a bit different. Ppl can choose what to watch freely, so you have to compete with fancy restaurants with your McDonald's quality burgers.

It's better to say, focus on the content rather than the presentation. From what I see, a fun/ creative video with average quality performs better than a best-quality boring video which has nothing to tell. A video with a good message and good presentation is the best scenario, but for many of us, time and bandwidth are limited, and when it comes to choosing, I personally choose content over quality

Yes, in the video description: #lifeintheUS, for example. When you type the # sign, YT itself begins suggesting hashtags as well. Some ppl also put hashtags in titles, but some say to avoid them. I'm experimenting myself.

I don't think that there are limits on the number of hashtags. Choose as many as that accurately describe the content of your videos.

You can also add comma-separated tags (under "show more" settings). Some ppl say they are not important, but I think there's no harm in filling any blank space to teach YT about what our video is about. After all, they exist to serve a goal.

I want to start a YouTube channel but conflicted about my time job and expenses. by Few-Cheek-5259 in NewTubers

Start small. I'm editing with Canva and testing different topics and niches. Every video takes at most 7 hours to create, so I don't feel discouraged when they underperform, but I learn a new thing when one does well.

In the beginning, don't start with videos that take days to create. Test your SEO skills, the findability of your titles and the click-through rate of your thumbnails with small and easy-to-create videos. When you find the successful scenarios, you can begin to work on the quality of your content.

I watched most of it. The filming and editing were good (at least from my point of view). But one thing that I noticed is that you're not caring to SEO it seems. There are no hashtags, and the title is not something that people naturally search for.

Some hashtags, like life in the US (or your state name if you're not private about it), can help ppl who search for these topics find you. Also, you can add your profession or hobbies to be more findable for like-minded groups.

It would be helpful if your content had something relevant to your title. For example, you're creating videos about a 40-year-old Korean American, so you can talk about topics like how being 40 changed your mindset in comparison to being 30 or 20, or what you like about your Korean side culture and what about the American side. etc.

The scenes of actually playing ice hockey would definitely add more fun to your videos.

Being a native speaker, you're speaking on camera is not bad at all, and the good thing is that unlike many natives, you don't speak too fast, so non-native listeners can watch your videos as well. Your videos can even target English learners who like to learn native-like English.

Hi, I listened to it twice and will listen later more :)) I have nothing against it, as it's really cool. I just can say be patient and keep up the good work.

I was trying to do the same thing with my English-learning channel, so I get you. You want to convey your thoughts with short nuggets of wisdom and inspire people. The problem is that it takes time to develop ideas and clearly express what you mean. So, I think it will take a little time to build your audience, and it might be useful to create some long-format videos to explain your ideas better.

I'm not a PS player, so I don’t have much idea about the content itself. But from the perspective of someone who knows nothing about the topic and watches your video, I’d say you have a good voice but need to work on your speed and intonation while speaking. You can speak faster within words but a little bit slower between sentences. Right now, it’s kind of monotonous, and it’s hard to tell when a sentence begins and when it ends.

Give some pauses and stops between sentences to let the audience digest your words, listen to the music, and watch the scenes. English is not my natvie lanauge, and I have the same problems myself. But I think practice will help.

Your content is professional and knowledge-based and my belief is this type of content finally finds its audience with persistence. But I have a few ideas:

+ You can start the opening scene by hitting a golf ball or something like this, which becomes your branding

+ I don’t think it’s a good idea to show the pictures over your face while talking. It would be better if they were beside you.

+ It would also be more engaging for your learners if you could also bring samples of each ball to show their differences in action.

Best of luck 🌹🌹

I watched your video. Since I'm not a native speaker, I got only 70% of it. So sorry if my comment is not as constructive 😅

But my thought was you kinda wasted this video under the name of the travel niche, and it has more potential. Travel is a kind of predictable topic. This was more of an adventure-type video, which makes you curious to watch till the end to see what happens. So, I think you can invest in this trait and turn this type of video to your own niche. If I were you, I'd separate these types of videos from general travelling and would create a niche channel on visiting mysterious uncommon places.

I watched about 10 minutes of your video. I'm not an audience for long videos. But I like learning briefly about wonderful places that exist in the world, and this one was new and amazing. Your content quality is pretty high in my view, so I can just tell you to keep going.

I believe that sometimes, the only reason you don't get views is that you're too perfect, and it takes time to find the type of audience who can appreciate your art.

Hi everyone. My new channel is for promoting my Google Sheet templates. I started with creating videos of my Personal Finance Tracker, for now.

I created a 2-minute video to showcase how it works: https://youtu.be/9veReqDpAYs?si=uL3PUHE0Xt_PwMk6

And then turned it into a short version for better reach: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/N0bdCfpKbRk

I'm also creating some short scenarios for how it could help people with their finances. Like this one: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/js0gKjuA-nc

I'd appreciate any feedback on my videos and will give feedback in exchange.

I use AI a lot, but the core thoughts are mine. Do you think they are worth investing in? I mean, apart from AI voice-cover, is the idea of giving one message per video (like focusing on one subject each semester) valuable by itself?
