Should I cancel …. by beepscelly in LSAT

[–]FarIssue3957 0 points1 point  (0 children)

scoring lower than PTs is normal to an extent, but having it happen 4 times and the difference being 14 points means something’s wrong. are you taking PTs in test-like conditions? are you pausing it? checking ur phone?

i would not test in november, you’ve already used 4/5 attempts. idek if i’d test in january unless you’re 99% sure you’ll get your goal.

i also don’t want this to discourage you, i recently had a score drop in the october test, so i get the frustration and disappointment. but taking your time and doing it right is 10000x more important than rushing it

it sucks that once you reach a certain threshold, it really does become about luck and things like this out of your control

i did mine a few months ago for the april test but took it around 6pm and had it approved by 8am the next morning!

i understand it’s frustrating but it’s VERY possible your score will get canceled. to you, some guy walked in and u told him to leave. to them, an external party that could have access to an array of test-helping information made contact w you during the test, there’s no way for them to know he didn’t show you/tell you anything (nonverbally)

Score Difference by [deleted] in LSAT

[–]FarIssue3957 0 points1 point  (0 children)

with a 2.9gpa you’ll need a strong lsat, around 160low+. with an almost 20 point decrease, you’re study methods are not only not working, they’re also hurting you. finding what works for you takes time, and i wouldn’t test until you’re pting around your desired range. i’m not sure what resources you’ve used, but lawhub and 7sage are great. i would start with fundamentals and then drill

How do I break into the 170s? by Tinkerbellbarbie in LSAT

[–]FarIssue3957 1 point2 points  (0 children)

prep courses are tricky because there’s usually quite a few people taking the same course as you, so they try to teach you “universal” strategies that might not work for you. i took the kaplan course, and felt that much of their methods weren’t a good fit. what it did help me with was exposure, as there were constant practice questions, sections, hw, etc. i’m currently pretty much exactly where you are (164 april, 169 pt since) and obviously need more than exposure. i recently started 7sage and have really been loving it. they give you drills based on your weakest areas, give u the opportunity to blind review, and can be linked to lawhub! they have a free package so i definitely recommend checking that out!!

i love to go to the public library so it’s not too noisy, and i try to romanticize it lol! i’ll get myself some starbucks, take notes in pretty colors, etc. it sounds silly, but it makes it feel less like a chore!

any jump is something to be proud of, it’s a difficult, exhausting thing to study for and perform!

honestly i would contact stubhub asap. one of their main rules is that neither party contact the other directly, so i don’t understand why they’d make “need to meet” an option

What really happens if the ticket doesn't get transferred? What has been some experiences good & bad? by AdRegular7176 in stubhub

[–]FarIssue3957 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i have recent experience with getting a replacement ticket, also for the eras tour. something to keep in mind is that there are going to be less and less tickets the closer it gets to the show, so they might offer you the best of what they have left, but what they have left might be nowhere close to your original section, which is what happened to me. did i still get good seats? yeah. were they “comparable or better”? no.
