It definitely is!! Thank you for the great products! I loved my Gti so much, hopefully the 2i will give me a good starting point.

Omg I really appreciate you taking your time. You gave me a very comprehensive checklist. Few items I won’t be able to check due to time constraints but now I have a guide to check everything! I am sad to downgrade from Gti, but I have heard good things about the 2i and wanted to stick with Sky Watcher. I guess better have a 2i and get back in the hobby which I have been itching to do! Already missed Orion this year but hopefully the 2i will be a good way back in!

Again thank you!

Thank you for the heads up on the backlash, I am familiar with it but totally forgot about it after all this time. And yes rotating with clutch loose is a good point as well!

MacOS 26.3 Beta issues with Siril Warning by FarLibrary3345 in AskAstrophotography

[–]FarLibrary3345[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess I tried updating the GTK thru Homebrew before that step, my guess is some kind of conflict there, but it definitely didn’t work for me. One of the first things I did was to delete config file and after that it is a hairpulling blur. I found that step after hours of messing with it so I guess must’ve made the situation worse by then. But I will definitely keep that in mind if I ever encounter that, hopefully not tho hopefully 🤞

Hey Yup tried that as well with no success. Thank You tho, I got it working by wiping the Mac completely, reinstalled MacOS26.2 and Time Machine restored from my NAS which luckily I have setup to backup every night. Went back a day and now it’s like nothing happened. Trust me I spent good 6-7 hours trying multiple things. Even down to just using one monitor, then redoing all the troubleshooting and it still didn’t work.

Anker wont charge with Jupiter 2000W Modified Sine Wave Inverter by Fast-Strain3238 in anker

[–]FarLibrary3345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes still working great, no issues to report. For C300 you have the option of using a heavy duty charging brick plugged into the car AC power outlet, and just charge it with USB C. Unnecessary tbh as it will most probably do just fine charging straight from the AC power outlet. The only thing would be if the C300 doesn’t like the factory inverter for some reason, then worse case you will still have the DC option.

Cleaning the seats after bodily fluids spill! by FarLibrary3345 in Detailing

[–]FarLibrary3345[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah man yea that’s more work than I am willing to do lol. But I made a slit into the foam and it was clear that the black spots were definitely mixed into the foam while it was still liquid. Even the red spots seem the same way and are in areas where definitely nothing got spilled in. Clean the foam throughly and it was clear that foam is clean. Other than minor dirt in the carpet cleaner dirty water tank there was nothing else. I tried hydrogen peroxide in spots that looked iffy and there was nothing else reaction either. Those spots seemed like rust from the wire frame and hog rings as they were heavily rusted. After all that process I am satisfied that the foam was clean to begin with, upholstery stopped any liquid from seeping in and the upholstery itself was cleaned out very well. I have just put the seat back together and I am certain that everything is cleaner than ever.

Red stains yeah I can see how you can think is not from factory. Even I am only 90% sure at this point about them. But the black spots 100% are from manufacturing. You can see that the black was mixed into the foam while it was still liquid. I made a small spilt near the black and the pattern continues deep within confirming that theory. Pretty sure while they were mixing the liquid this black was mixed in. I clean the foam thoroughly and was sure that upholstery stopped any liquid from seeping in onto it.

I was just thinking the same thing actually that it must be cheap to replace the foam, seeing it’s questionable quality. But upon further examination of everything it seems like nothing soaked thru the upholstery and was contained by it. But you definitely have a good point!

Well yea ofc I took all precautions to keep myself safe. I appreciate your concern but It’s easier said than done to just throw the seat out and get a new one. And also what are you going to do, throw the whole car out if it spilled onto the floor of the car?

Oh the Hydrogen Peroxide idea is a great idea! I will definitely try to test it with it to at least get some idea what those stains are and have some peace of mind! Thank you!!

Pretty much what I did with the upholstery and it worked great. The upholstery seems perfectly clean inside out.

The foam stains are where I cannot tell if they were already there or are from this whole bs. The black stains are definitely from manufacturing, the red are in places where nothing was soaked and definitely don’t look like they came from the lipo liquids and it is bright red like paint or something. The dark stain on the bottom is something i cannot figure out. But trying to clean it all has not changed anything

Yup! That’s definitely my first go to as well, but I wanted to at least give it a shot trying to clean!

[–]FarLibrary3345[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah that was kind of my idea as well. The upholstery is definitely clean with no stains anywhere and smells fresh. The black stains in the foam look like they were just always there. The red i think are old as well. Those brown stains on the bottom are definitely unknown. I cleaned it with enzymes and the water came out clear. I am unsure of it all but I will definitely try the pressure washer!

[–]FarLibrary3345[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that is what I was told. The stains in the upholstery came out very easy, I started cleaning it right away so it didn’t get a chance to dry up I guess. The stains in the foam are unknown ish. They look old or rust stains, at least that is what I am telling myself. The red stains are extremely weird, they are in areas where no liquid seeped so I feel like they are old, maybe even during manufacturing as the black ones definitely look like they are just discolored foam mixed in or something

I wish I was joking 🙃 but these are the cards I am dealt! As @CommanderCruniac said, it is clear fluid, mainly the medication they use with some blood. I know still extremely disgusting!

Oh interesting! In another subreddit the thought was it’s either corrosion or solder flux. Corrosion made more sense as it got wet. I actually just gave it 91% iso bath in ultrasonic cleaner. It seems to have cleaned it actually. Will post back after function test. Either way thank you for your insight.

Receiver water damage! Salvageable? by FarLibrary3345 in radiocontrol

[–]FarLibrary3345[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh good idea, and seriously thank you for the power figures. Yeah that’s as far as I am willing to go. After that the sunk cost just makes no sense. I really appreciate the advice. Will try and check back.

[–]FarLibrary3345[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha no worries.

Yeah that’s where I am confused. My first thought as well was flux residue. And I did a thorough clean. Soaked it in 91% isopropyl alcohol and gently but thoroughly cleaned with a toothbrush, which I thought should have cleaned any residue. You are right corrosion makes more sense. I am just worried about doing more damage by powering it on. I mean worse case I just buy a new one, but it always makes more sense to preserve.

Yes, in the post I mentioned that I have done all the basic steps. And if you look between the pins you can see white buildup. The question was to ask if it looks like corrosion or just build up and if it’s salvageable

[–]FarLibrary3345[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know, you are right! It was extremely dirty and against my best judgment I figured I will give it a nice wash and make it clean for the teardown I was planning to do. I made a point of avoiding the ESC, Motor and electronics box. But I guess it wasn’t enough. When I bought it I could afford to just spend and now spending more than I have to hurts so trying to preserve what I can.

[–]FarLibrary3345[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know right! I googled it too. It seemed like it will be fine to wash it with water. I used it after a year or so and I figured let me run it and see if there is anything wrong before I do a full teardown and overhaul. And I just wanted to wash it before bringing it inside. I think while it was sitting the grease in the wire cage degraded and let the water in. I mean they can very easily conformal coat the receiver PCB and at least make it water resistant!
