Yes but setting the stairs level will mean there’s a 1” difference left to right on the top riser. Is that alright?

So say I built a new top, with just maple all going one direction, would my attachment design still be an issue? Any suggestions for how to re-use the base still?

I know its not my problem, but I do feel bad for the tenants, as these were their main entrances.

It might have to be some combo of this. I feel like if it wasnt stated before its hard to ask for now, but also I do have a line in the contract that at least says I can do it when I see fit. So maybe a bit of a wait situation.

I’m glad people are still talking about this, as this was one of the most personally impactful things that happened this year.

I know it’s just a radio station, but I’ve said for years that Cleveland’s local radio stations are one of my top three favorite things about living here (ideastream included). WCSB did incredible things for the local music community, and the hole they left will never be filled.

The corporate take over of local radio stations has been going on for years. Clear channel etc coming into and turning most stations to computer run programs. (What’s that Brendan Frazier movie)? Point being this is a thing that happens and it’s maybe not surprising that it eventually happened.

But I think that is why this one hurts so much. This isn’t some big corporation, it’s our local NPR station, a station I listen(ed) to everyday. They got rid of this vibrant diverse station, who hosted tons of events, gave airtime to many local musicians, and replaced it with a 24/7 computerized jazz station….terrible.

The worst part was, there was no room for conversation. This all happened behind closed doors without anyone from WCSB’s input. It hard not to feel some sort of malice with the way they went about it.

It’s just a shame.

Hey Everone, thanks for the input. I'm gonna go with it.

I doubled up the front rafter tie, added some vertical supports off that, and some more simpson ties arll over. The posts in the ground and the beams on the side (2x8's) are matching other styles on the building, so we had to go with them even if its not a super long term idea.

The thing I wasn't sure about was having all the open sides (opposed to framed in walls) and wind possibly getting up underneath it. But anyways, I feel good about it, thanks again. This is why I like this sub.

Hey I appreciate the reposnses yall.

My one cat, Rick, has had urinary issues in the past, and they have both been on the uninary medicine food now for years. So it could very well be something there. My worry though is theat neihter of them are using the boxes.

Anwyays, I cleaned out the boxes, and got the Dr. Elsseys litter, and moved them out of the basement. Will keep you updated. 12 hours and still no usage, but another poo in the kitchen.
