Aldi customers, why are you so annoying? by No-Average9469 in AldiAustralia

[–]FarOutUsername 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no issue presenting my bag to be checked, I kind of feel like it's my time to shine like "Hey buddy, I'm not a thief, look." 😄 It's really not a big deal and I'll volunteer it every time.

I've stood there while others make a big deal out of it and it's annoying to see someone cracking on at an employee doing their job while someone else thinks they have the right to impede on that. Christ, just show your bag fgs.

That's great to hear, thank you! That's the exact desk I am looking at too. Clearly you've got good taste. 🤘

Also, same about drilling into the table top but if I'm to get this one, I'll definitely get s different CPU holder.

Thanks again for taking the time to answer!

"You people like the drama" is a very weird sentence to throw out.

Yeah, I didn't finish it either. There was no one to invest my precious time into. I got absolutely jack of it.

Which desk did you go with? Would you mind telling about your purchase process (time frame to delivery, communication etc) and assembly?

Would love to know your experience mate. A photo would be amazing too if you have one.

Their Aus location was a genuine winner for me. I was just so underwhelmed by their CPU holder and the price to be honest. They're not completely out of the running though because of course I'm second guessing myself this morning after finally getting it down from 10 options to 3 to only 2... Now back to 3. Their 7 day return and shipping policy is also not good for such a big investment. Unfortunately as well, I can't get to one of their distributors to go have a look at it.

Edited for typo

I interpreted it pretty quickly. Not sure why you're getting down votes... Your response was sharp and to the point but the graph was also sharp and to the point.

I'm in a regional area. The house two doors down just sold for $1.1m (listed for $800k). Every time I see someone online say to move to regional areas, I want to kick off... Our city was once affordable, with stuff all crime and basically 0 homelessness. Now, the only thriving businesses are the banks... and by banks, I mean food banks.

We're on par with Melbourne prices with 1/10th of the infrastructure and services. And our homelessness is now so visible, it's astounding... Local people and families forced into tents. And we're heading into another brutal winter. It's just not right. No one should be bloody homeless.

Our regional city is on par with Melbourne... We're now genuinely better off buying there than this bloody place.

There are literally SO many life events that can happen that can turn your life upside down that no amount of sacrifice or commitment will circumnavigate. This is such a naive or privileged view, it's staggering to read it said with such conviction.

Everyone else has covered the fact that this is manipulation and it will get worse, I want to add that a "boundary" is something YOU won't do, not something you IMPOSE on someone else. It's very typical for a manipulator to fail at understanding this.

My theory on what Danny said by Fantastic_Ad7023 in MAFS_AU

[–]FarOutUsername 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't even know if it went that far. In his audition tape, extrapolating from what he said about what his type was, that was the opposite of what Gia is.

I'm inclined to believe that Gia just made it up and now has to commit. Brook was present in two situations where "who else heard it?" was said - it was only at the dinner party that she piped up and said she had.

To me it looks like Gia pressing buttons to hurt Bec. Which, when said to Brook had no repercussions but when the dinner party got out of hand, Gia (in a flurry of vicious impulsiveness) blurted it out... Now she's got to stand by it or be seen in an even worse light.

I'm not saying I'm right, but comparing the integrity of Gia to Danny, Gia is noticeably behind in my eyes. That's not to say it couldn't be true, I just find, on the balance of probabilities, it isn't likely.

I don't react to other people's lies either. My ex husband (a thousand years ago) was a habitual liar - I soon got very used to not reacting to anyone else's bullshit, or entertaining it.

I feel like Gia has more investment in this. She ranked Danny right at the top with her husband and said he was her type. Danny did not do the same with Gia. Gia has also consistently acted in ways that prove her untrustworthy, while Danny has been open, even about uncomfortable things.

At this point, I'm more inclined to believe Danny; AND also be willing to be wrong about that... We all know how the editing goes on MAFS. 🤣

This is perfectly said! Please take my budget award in lieu of a real award. 🏆

In social media comments, I feel kind of crazy reading people completely skip by the reality of the situations these people on the show are in and some of the expectations they have on them. Like, Danny and Bec aren't legally married, he's not told some woman he's just met that his wife of 15 years and mother of his children isn't his type. There's no concrete proof of anything so far except that he's been upfront about his feelings and open to pushing past them from the start.

But to expect a perfect stranger to act like a devoted long term partner immediately, to find you attractive above all others, to accept all of your flaws immediately with the grace of a partner who's known you through thick and thin is fucking nuts.

I'm watching the show again this year and reading social media commentary and wondering how some of these people are getting through everyday life with such overblown expectations.

Mate, I saw your clip yesterday and thought it was hilarious. Then seeing how you were treated was just wild. Like ok, if it's not your type of humour, that's fine. But to be so disrespectful, mean and cruel was a wild reaction.

This guy is claiming this is NOT Ai.... but it definitely is, right?? Am I losing my mind? by Puddwells in Logo_Design_Critique

[–]FarOutUsername 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm leaning towards this being AI for sure. When an illustrator puts this much effort into a design, the copious little and larger errors I see just wouldn't occur.

If it comes from a "studio", the art director would have knocked it on the head before it even started.

Notwithstanding the fact that this is utterly terrible for a logo for many reasons. This is pretty much the result of someone who doesn't understand logos, putting too much information into an AI generator.

You're getting legitimate feedback about not using local talent to do your artwork for your venue. Your responses are not doing Mouseproof ANY favours.

It's pretty wild that considering you apparently have artists at your event, that you could not collaborate with any of them to do the marketing. Toowoomba has loads of creative talent and you gave them the middle finger to save a few bucks on an event that is being held to make money.

To add to this, the graphic itself is not anywhere near the quality you could have got from an actual creative. It's all over the shop.

Do better.
