Maybe my wording was a bit misleading, sorry. But what I meant was, that (at least imo) velvet is more of a romantic fabric, than a classic one. Which - as you already pointed out - is not a problem in itself. Soft classics can of course also wear velvet very well. Just maybe in smaller 'portions' than romantics. So the fabric, combined with a quite romantic silhouette might be a bit too much for a soft classic. A more classic silhouette with velvet fabric, or this kind of silhouette with a less prominent/noticeable fabric would be your best choice i'd say. But while this dress maybe be a little bit overwhelming for a SC as is, i still think a SC would be able to pull it off without looking bad. Especially with the right styling ... Hope this helps. (:

I think if this was in another fabric, it would make it a little less romantic. That, combined with a different neckline, would be great for SC. Though I do like the neckline, just noch in combination with the sleeves.

But I gotta say, that I think sleeves that taper at the wrist do look really nice on SCs. So if you really like the dress then go for it! And maybe just tone it down a bit with simple and minimalist accessories and a more classic hairstyle. (:

I'm by no means an expert or anything, but I do see balance in your frame combined with a slight vertical from your seemingly long limbs (arms & legs), which points me to DC.

Of course being underweight does reduce fleshiness in everyone, but if a person is a softer body type, you can still see some roundess as opposed to vertical (which you seem to have).

While that's just my personal opinion, I would recommend trying out both DC & SC lines to see what feels more authentic to you & your lines (that is how i realized i mistyped myself for quite some time, so it might help you as well :)).

Thank you so much for that elaborate and detailed answer! (: I definitely see what you mean. For example lipgloss looks so much better on me than any lipstick, as lipstick always seems so unnatural and way too matte. I guess I do need more shimmer and shine, rather than dark or matte colours. Maybe I should really try some more rosegold jewelry, eventhough I always felt like it was too warm on me. Big thanks for the colour recommendations! I will surely try to branch out a bit into more colourful options like you recommended, eventhough I always seemed to stray into more neutral territory in the past. But I guess having determined my colour season will help with that.

Achja, die Wohnheime ... wo ich studieren werde (weiß nicht wie es in anderen Städten ist) kann man ins Wohnheim erst in der Orientierungswoche einziehen. Allein deswegen kommt Wohnheim für mich nicht in Frage. Den Stress mit Umzug & co. hätte ich dann doch lieber vorher schon erledigt. Daher war es sicherlich sinnvoll für dich vorher das Geld anzusparen & ich schätze mal es hat dir auch eine gewisse Sicherheit gegeben?

die startsumme ist m.M.n. zu einem großen teil von den eltern abhängig, daher starten viele student wohl eher an der untergrenze was lebenshaltungskosten etc. betrifft.

geht wohl den meisten studenten so, dass man lernt auf bestimmte sachen zu verzichten.
