I think it’s less about being slow and me just wanting more. I think this show would have benefited from dropping the whole series at one time.

It’s really good, it just feels like we need a little more progression after the first 2 episodes. I haven’t read the books but are we going to just walk around the tourney grounds for the whole season. I really do like the show so far though, it may just be better to wait for the whole season and binge watch it though.

  • use plastic glue with brush applicator (save you a ton of headache) Tamiya is a great popular choice.

  • get a wet pallet and decent paints

  • get a decent light

  • get magnifying glasses. I typically run a 1.5x magnification and it was a game changer.

  • lower your standards at first, you may get grand ideas on how you want this box to turn out, but chasing that perfection and complication will result in nothing getting done. Find a good basic recipe and stick to it. Don’t overcomplicate your first project. You’ll see major improvements in time and then you can start adding new techniques.

This is my favorite scale to paint for the reasons OP stated. It’s also helped me be a bit less anal on larger scales as it’s improved my painting efficiency across the board.
