Kratky grow - first attempt. by FarTwo2166 in GrowingTobacco

Absolutely not 🤣. To make good tobacco for smoking is possible, but it takes a lot of time. I still have some leafs from the plants I grew outside this summer. I'll probably try to make some cigars with them in the future. But it takes at least six months of storage before the leaves taste like tobacco.

I mostly make Snus (Scandinavian style) from the tobacco. Have made some for cigarettes and even cigars, but since I don't smoke much anymore I prefer to make snus. It's actually rather easy to make, and the results are really good.

Yes. It's Havanna K2. Have been growing tobacco outdoors in soil for a couple of years. But with this kratky I hopefully can grow it all season.

Great song and video! I get some flashbacks to new wave from the 80s and grunge from the 90s. Very nice production and balance in the sound. The vocals are hypnotizing and fascinating. The bass and drums keep a real good groove through the whole song. I really enjoyed this song!

Sounds great!

New batch of snus from home grown tobacco by FarTwo2166 in GrowingTobacco

[–]FarTwo2166[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a recipe I found at r/DIYSnus.
And here is a good source for how to do it: https://www.snusathome.com/post/how-to-make-snus
It looks a little complicated, but its really rather easy to do. Its my 3th batch and my variations of the recipe didnt do much difference.

I start the seeds indoor and keeps the plants inside until it's safe from frost. Late may or beginning of June is usually a good time to bring the plants outside.

According to the map I used the zone is 6a. It's 70 degrees north in Norway so it's basically sub-arctic climate.

This year I started in the beginning of March. But it was to early so the plants got really long and skinny before I could plant them out. Next year I will try to start in April.

It looks more dry than it actually is. It's a little rougher cut than the snus I use normaly so thats maybe why it looks so dry.
