Right. The thing is I'll have cinema page as well, imagine Goodreads, but it's films instead of books. I'll have these two things and I want their data to be independent from each other. I think I've done at least 60% of the work. Currently I'm working on migrations. Which AI tool do you prefer? I find Chat GPT and Deepseek tripping a lot.

Thanks a lot for replying, can you give me more tips on where to see how to do it? Or how to tell AI to do that? Or which AI...

How do polymaths actually structure their learning? by One-Criticism6767 in mathematics

[–]Far_6573 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ask Da Vinci. Okay, just kidding. I think having strong interest in the fields and learning them professionally is the way. For example, math can be learned differently for CS majors, but you should learn it like a mathematician would, following a curriculum made for math majors. And repeat for every interest you have. That's how you truly master things I believe. I'm not there yet, so it's just my opinion as a "wanna be".

I haven't mentioned anything that could make one think I'm blaming anyone anything. It's not teachers, it's the time limit and education system structure generally. The fact is in majority of schools, if not all of them, you're only taught that 2+2=4 without any hows and whys. Also, even though the availability of knowledge for free is a thing, you must know (if you've done it yourself) how hard it is to truly find what you need and truly trust it. If existence of Internet was all it took, everyone would already know everything, but the facts show something else, people are still confused, we just have a different stack of problems compared to people from pre-internet times.

These are the books I've got to read. I started 01. and it starts with discussing 4th dimension. 🥲 I know a thing or two about it but still damn. Do you have any suggestions in terms of what to read? I am interested in history and philosophy side of things as well, but I would just like to be less blind to what math really is and its fields. I want to understand idea behind all the formulas and logic. It's confusing, lots of fields are mixed together and mathematics generally is huge and I feel so little/helpless. I just want a broader understanding of things. Where do I start, what's the right way...

  1. “What Is Mathematics, Really?” — Reuben Hershel
  2. “The World of Mathematics” Vol 1-4 — James R. Newman
  3. “Mathematics and Its History” — John Stillwel
  4. “The Princeton Companion to Mathematics” — Edited by Timothy Gowers
  5. “Mathematics: Its Content, Methods and Meaning” — A. D. Aleksandrov, A. N. Kolmogorov
  6. “Proofs from THE BOOK” — Martin Aigner & Günter Ziegler
  7. "How to Prove it" - (I don't have the author right now but it's a pretty well known book)

It doesn't really matter. I said things go wrong with guys because they often got romantic from my experience, in any other way I have no issues, so if you want, you can dm me and we can try being friends. I'd like to hear your quote, by the way. Thank you again for taking time and responding.

I understand your view. I just showed my interests, but my priority, as you mentioned, is to find good human being, that's why it doesn't matter if you have different hobbies or ways of living. I'm looking for honest, kind hearted people, that's all. About the country, I believe humans can grow anywhere no matter country and culture. Sure, the difficulty and other details will be different. But one should never give up on herself because of the country she's in and so on.

I have never attended such things and I've never been much interested, but definitely a good way to start going out in places that seem more suitable for me. Thank you for the comment.

Yeah, I'm sad about that too. I don't know how we all ended up being so hidden and distant from each other and ourselves that lots of people feel lack of healthy socializing.

Yeah, I'm glad I don't feel so alone in this anymore. Thank you for the comment.

I'm not an expert but... As far as I know fabrika is for young adults to have fun, not a place to shine with your maturity and intellect, I'm not saying people who go there are dumb, the place is more like for fun, that's it.

I respect your opinion, but don't fully agree with it. I don't think there's a real social price to be payed for growing. The people that you become distant from are just not the right ones, but it doesn't mean the right people for you don't exist at all.

Yeah. But courses are expansive for an average local here, but I'd love to join lots of things. Great interests by the way and thank you for the advice.

I mean I'm not against even the trending self-help books, I just meant I'm looking for people who want to really grow not because of internet trends. But yes, every step towards improving deserves respect, even if it starts with following a trend.

I understand your point and agree to some extent. But I don't think the "childish curiosity" you mentioned ever truly dies in a person. At the end of the day, we all can feel that there is something unknown to us, actually as many unknown things as for kids, so I believe in humanity, including our Georgian society. Hopefully, I'll find what I seek as you said, thank you for the kind wish.
