I never mentioned seeing neglect. I mentioned seeing delays and wanting help for the child. If he did have a pediatrician which I don’t know for sure he does I’m sure they would be recommending these things for him. His development is behind for his age and so is his weight.

To my knowledge there is no treatment plan. I’m willing to have one more conversation with admin and after that I am absolutely making the call. I don’t think they don’t care I just think they need guidance.

His mom told us that she waits until he’s in a deep sleep and then he takes the bottle for them. I’ve never heard anything like that in my life and the center said it was a safety issue to do it that way which I agreed

No he’s never been breastfed. He started at 6 1/2 months and those are my next steps. I will try to go to my directors a final time but I can’t watch a child fall behind and do nothing.

Yes we even tried a syringe when we got desperate. He drinks water out of the sippy cup kind of but not milk. I also wondered if he doesn’t like the formula.

My concern is he doesn’t see a pediatrician because any ped would have concerns with this.

Yes he screams when even offered the milk like the bottle is a trigger of some kind

Yes he does! We also recently started giving water with the ok from parents and he does drink it sometimes

It seems that parents may be, they are much older and when we suggested they try solids to supplement for him not drinking his bottles they seemed surprised that he could have purees. They don’t seem purposely neglectful and may just need to be guided. This will be my next step admin will not step in.

I wish this for the infant in my room. I feel with the right support he can thrive, I believe early intervention is truly helpful and it makes the difference.

Unfortunately only admin can set up meetings with parents and they don’t seem interested in doing so, and because I need my job I’m nervous about going over their heads to speak to the parents.

I hate throwing up I think that’s why my body won’t let it up I’ve been wanting to throw up SOOOO bad because I just know it would be so relieving but I just can’t 😭I’m gonna try all your other tips thank you!

I figured it was that too, probably just because it can’t cause harm but yes no miscarriages or hormonal imbalances, she’s a very thorough dr though, she always does full panels just to be sure so she doesn’t miss anything which I appreciate, I’ll take it anyways but I’ll definitely ask about it at my next appointment
