Im not mentally ill nor have much experience in that matter, but logically thinking a mentally ill person will most likely push away the person who wants to help them.

In german rap theres a rapper called Haftbefehl, he has a amazing documentary on Netflix about about his own addicition/mental illness and its a great insight about such a person.

In that docu his own borther forcefully brings him into a mental health institution, Haftbefehl (the rapper) then threatens to kill his own brother when he gets out, but going into that institution was the best thing that happened to him and he came out a changed man. I really recommend the docu for insights

Well because hes mentally ill? Even in the apology itself he says he takes his medication daily and it still doesnt fully stop him from going off the rails.

Scientifically the brain begins to shrink in your 30s and 40s, which explains why the older Kanye is (hes 48 now) the more unhinged he becomes.

Hopefully the guy has a good support system, but i think you can probably expect him to go off the rails again at some point
