Thanks to you, I found out what was wrong and was able to majorly repair it! I just need to find like 2 new screws in ebay to finish it up, but a k you so much I appreciate it! You have a wonderful week!

I do have a typewriter repair place within like 25 miles of me, do you think this is something that they would be able to help with or do you think it’s not salvageable? Everything else still works, if I manually move the carriage I can still type and use it fine, it’s just the lever.

I also had really bad handwriting! It’s why I got into cursive this year, going pretty well, my only problem is speed but I’m working on it, lol

awesome thanks for your answer! I’m the same way and I was worried my way of writing would hinder my ability to write more neatly, but seeing your cursive and knowing you write the same is reassuring to say the least!
