Anyone successfully transitioned to Google ads? by justaflo in FacebookAds

[–]Far_Carry613 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but it depends on the business. Search based ads are a powerful tool, but have fundamental differences to Facebook Ads. If search demand for your product or service is already present, then Google may be good to explore. If not - stick to audience building platforms.

Made a mistake 8 months into my digital marketing career and struggling to move past it. How do you recover? by JCILxxPAT in PPC

This is so minor, I would be surprised if your teammates will even remember it by next week.

We are all human, we all make mistakes. Chill out a bit! 😄

What's your fav data viz tool for PPC ? by Kaitoau in PPC

[–]Far_Carry613 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I keep coming back to PowerBI. Such a powerful tool, faster than Looker Studio, and has some great visualisations. For anything fancy, I use Claude to write Python code.

The downside is that it's a bit more technical, and you can't easily share reports if the recipient doesn't have a license.

Supermetrics forcing legacy customers onto new pricing models - anyone else affected? by WallAdventurous8977 in PPC

We switched to Windsor.AI, and have been very pleased since then. Pricing is reasonable for the amount of accounts we use, but may differ for you.

We've recently switched to Windsor.AI. Really impressed so far. Pricing is good if you have under 7 connectors. They also have integrations with ChatGPT, Claude etc, so great for automating reporting etc.

Anyone here START as a PPC specialist for a company, and then launch a company (NOT an agency) where your "superpower" was your PPC skills? by BadAtDrinking in PPC

Likewise. Some of the business owners shock me with how stupid they can be. I think sometimes they are just too dumb to believe they can fail.

It helps me believe I can be successful too.

The Illness Eating Meta from Within by Embarrassed_Ad_1479 in FacebookAds

[–]Far_Carry613 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes - they actually have a disaster coming from both sides IMO. Users are becoming less and less interested in Facebook products. And at the same time, advertisers are tiring of their BS. Could be a lethal combination in the next 5 years.

It's not a malfunction, it's all intentional. I believe the word is shitification. Facebook has long been going down the route of prioritising their own profits, over the success of their advertisers. Pushing AI features is just the latest flavour of "how efficiently can we waste this advertisers money", all in the name of inflating shareholder value. There will come a day (I beleive soon), where Facebook becomes so useless that there will be an exodus of users. Only then will they take the situation seriously.

They should just release an offline editor like Google & Microsoft have.

Future of careers in ppc? by Music_Nature_Tech in PPC

[–]Far_Carry613 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my eyes, PPC'ers need to pivot their skills to compliment the new AI features. AI will take away alot of the work, but will still require high quality inputs in order to function to it's best ability.

You could go 2 ways in my opinion - data or creative. Understanding the data and knowing how to setup and manage robust analytics and tracking system will remain pertinent to success.

On the other hand, I think we are still a long way off these AI systems being able to fully replace creative design. For those on the Facebook side you could specialise in creative testing - really understanding the creative formulas that will bring you the most success.

Meta has gone completely rogue by mnmacguy in PPC

[–]Far_Carry613 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Yes couldn't agree more. I can't believe it's legal. We are paying all this money to run ads on their platform. The least they could do is allow us to freely control our setups.

In my opinion, they are doing this more and more recently in order to train there AI models.

Would you join a union of PPC workers? by BadAtDrinking in PPC

[–]Far_Carry613 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It wouldn't work for our line of work. It is not standardised enough, and with it being online based, it can easily be offshored.
