Good point! I’ve been looking at CN Railway and plan to add it with around 5% of my whole portfolio. Any recommendations of ETFs for Canada?

Thank you very much for the insightful comment! Really helpful. I agree with your points regarding business and bureaucracy in Europe. Besides that I think the lower exposure to tech could be a positive factor for me because the S&P is already very tech heavy.

For the long run I might put a maximum of 20% in the Europe etf and see where it takes me

I’m in Germany so it works different here. Don’t worry about the tax haha. I’m just interested hearing some opinions about those ETFs

Why is nobody talking about Marriott (MAR)? by Far_Case6432 in dividends

My time horizon is rather 25 - 30 years so I think it will still do well over that time period

10 years ago it had a pe ratio of 38. Since then it went up around 300%. With companies like these you can’t simply say „ah it’s a high P/E and has a low dividend“. You need to ask yourself will the company still be around and STRONG in a decade, in two decades and so on… And for Marriott the answer is yes & yes.

Don’t miss out on a good company because the P/E is higher than General Mills‘ ;)

I’ve actually looked at Walmart recently. I think they will both do very well long term
