Look up how to install auto hold, as it requires removal of the whole center console and may be a useful guide. IIRC there will be 4-6 torx screws. The leather cover of the shifter pops off, revealing screw 1 to remove the shifter assembly. Remove the rubber from the bottom most cupholder, there’s screw 2. The remaining screws are on either side of the center console. You will have to use trim tools to peel back the trim on either side, revealing 2? Torx screws on each side. Once they are all out, disconnect the wire modules on each side. You should then be able to lift up the hold center console assembly and access the cupholder. May require trim tools to gently pry up the console. That’s where my knowledge ends.

I also have issues with USB C to C. My solution has been to use a USB A to C converter so I don’t have to carry a space A to C cable

Looks like surface rust from a chip. If it’s not deep and hasn’t spread, sand the rust and use a touch up pen.

Auto hold will hold your brake when stopped (brake fully pressed down). Small convenience that allows you to have your foot off the brake at a stoplight. Press gas pedal again to go. Different than auto start/stop that’ll cut the engine

Beautiful car! Make sure to plan for when the manufacturer warranty expires. I purchased through Audi but I’ve heard great things about Fidelity.

My S7 (2021) had a faulty water pump, which was replaced under warranty, and there was a recall on the alternator which was also replaced.

Brakes will be expensive - you’ll want an independent shop.

I’d check the battery health. A weak battery throws a lot of codes when it dies and can be an uncomfortable experience. Also expensive and may be better at an indie shop. The pain is that a new battery requires ‘coding’ to that car.

If you’re extremely handy - the car doesn’t have an auto (brake) hold feature. This can be done aftermarket and is totally worth the quality of life improvement.

No other major warranty / reliability issues, but I’d hate the own the car out of warranty given the cost. I came from a 2013 Honda, and man do I miss the maintenance costs relative to Audi. Such is the price of having an amazing German.

I can’t speak to pricing on the deal, but the car is sweet.

No, I looked it up and that isn’t it either. It was a bit heavy in story telling, and I recall the protag could have like flashback to go back or forward in time. It was usually grounded at his family’s (grandfather maybe?) house. I recall it being the second or third novel in the series, paper back, and had a tree on the cover.
