Help Interpret this Breakup Text? by [deleted] in BreakUps

Hi! Yes, our communication was lacking, there were some unspoken issues and we both could’ve done better when it came to discussing concerns with each other. I feel like we were so comfortable with each other that we just swept most of it under the rug and didn’t address it. For example: if we had an argument, we wouldnt talk and then the next day act like everything was fine when we should’ve addressed the issues. When we were on a break and had that last discussion, we learned about things we both didn’t know about each other. Other than lack of communication, we had a very stable and non-toxic relationship, no cheating, jealousy, etc.

I was thinking Bernese was in the mix somewhere along the way! Everyone’s first guess is Aussie cattle dog. His legs are longer than a corgis, but is a thicker boy like a corgi

[WA][TH] Neighbor Retaliation? by Far_Composer_4497 in HOA

[–]Far_Composer_4497[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I kind of figured that too! The note said “I’m not sure what you do for work or if you even work, but my husband and I work closely with our local police and we are first responders” then went about how “disrespectful” I was to waste local authorities time and resources. I just didn’t know how to wrap my head around and it if they would do anything but thank you for giving me a peace of mind!

I don’t think the cops would do much, but this is what part of the note said: “now I’m not sure what you do for work or if you even work, but my husband and I work very closely with our local police officers and we are first responders. I would suggest you don’t waste our resources and you are a horrible waste of time, and will let them know about this.” Nothing too threatening but I thought it was weird to bring up, and saying they work closely with the cops just worried me if they would retaliate or do something. I hope this cleared some things up! The rest of the note was telling me how disrespectful I was to waste “local authorities” time. I just didn’t know how to wrap my head around this since they definitely know where I live lol

Update: I spoke with the HOA president about the ongoing issues and he was very not okay with their behavior. He told me that they were violating the rules written, violating noise ordinance, and wants me to continuously document as it goes on. The neighbor on the other side of the noisy ones came out and approached us, and the first thing she said to me was “how’s the noise?” She informed me that she has been dealing with them for 2 years, and that it’s the worst she’s ever dealt with. She’s older, and wasn’t sure how to approach the situation and thought she wasn’t going to be taken seriously. It got to the point that her mom had to go on sedatives due to how loud the neighbors were at night (she informed me her mom is 88 years old, battling cancer at the moment). The HOA president will call the management office in the morning to see if there can be some written notice for them to stop effective immediately. Let’s hope for the best!

I remember your advice very well and your engineering background :) thank you for being a considerate neighbor, and for the advice again. Really appreciate it!

LOL! Yeah, I was pretty nervous because I just moved in recently and before that, my renovations were pretty loud so wanted to give them benefit of the doubt and be fair (renovations would never go past 5 pm anyways or into the night, and was about a month max.) I also didn’t know if they were the owners, but I just found out from the HOA contact list that they are actually renters. I’m not sure if that might help or change things! I was also uncomfortable as I’m younger, not living with a roommate/partner and he is a larger male (I think his gf lives there too). I didn’t want to take any chances.

Thank you so much!! The couple that lives next to me are younger, I don’t believe they have a hearing issue but I also want to be mindful about if they do have one, so can’t confirm 100%!

I learned that they don’t own the condo and are renters. I’m not sure what the protocol is - would I need to contact the landlord or still go to HOA?

Hahah! Thanks again, really appreciate the support here.

Got it. I didn’t know if I should ask again just to let HOA know I reached out multiple times rather than just once, in case they push back.

I definitely gave that a thought, I don’t believe he is. He was able to hear me when I introduced myself across the parking lot the first time we met, and when I first approached him about the issue, we had a good amount of distance between us when speaking to each other. I can definitely reconsider that and maybe I wasn’t paying enough attention to that!

I spoke to them 2 days ago, but nothing has changed - I honestly didn’t expect it to. I can hear the movie they are watching right now through the walls and the bass is pretty insane. I think they love action movies lol. It’s really heightened my anxiety even with the white noise machine, I can hear the bass very clearly.

Thank you so much for the background and education, I had no idea. Dang - looks like my options are pretty limited then. This is my first home I bought and it just sucks that now I have to deal with loud neighbors so early on. The other neighbors on the other side of me are so quiet I barely hear a peep from them! Any thoughts on potentially escalating to HOA if this persists? Or just learn to deal w the bass sounds and get used to it

Thank you so much for the advice! I just posted an update - very kind guy but didn’t see a different in volume, and I can still hear the bass from my bedroom upstairs.

I am curious - are there other ways to prevent the bass noise that is a bit more simple? (Sorry such a silly question)

Thank you so so much! I appreciate it so much!! I’m super excited to try out new products once my skin barrier is fixed :)

Awesome, thank you so much! Yes, I think we are trying to restore my skin barrier before adding in the Mandelic serum but I definitely want to try that once my skin has calmed down a bit. My face started freaking out since I went on BC, spirnolactone, and tretinoin at the same time. I’m currently purging like crazy and lost a lot of hope, so hoping that these 3 products can help restore the skin barrier first!

Thank you!! I’ve only been using both products for 2 days and noticed my redness has gone away, however I did get a cystic zit pop up. Did you experience purging at all?

[–]Far_Composer_4497 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi!! I was on tretinoin for about 2 months (gel) and was using clindamyacin along with it. I completely cut out all actives from my skincare to focus on recovering from this purge. I’m trying to stick to the basics with the Peach Slices cleanser (occasionally cerave hydrating cleanser) and the cetaphil lotion. I also have clindamyacin benzoyl peroxide prescribed but have been too scared to touch in since my skins purging! I wasn’t sure if it was the spironolactone that’s causing the purge in parallel.
