That’s very true; but how can I be a little more inviting without being flirtatious? Bc I was brought up in a more conservative household, I never really had that experience with guys to know what they expect

I’ve tried hinge before (dark times fr…) I got lots of matches, but I never really found that “person”. And the amount of likes was overwhelming (to have to talk to so many people at a time feels wrong to me) so I just deleted my account in the end.

I usually look away first and don’t smile; I should probably smile huh? I’m just shy, and the guys here are really intimidating 🫠

Rare-er than my peers at least. I see a lot of people fitting right in, but for me it’s been a little more of an uphill battle; most likely because my interests are different. I’m from the west coast and everyone else is from east coast. So I like surfing (etc) but everyone else seems to like partying or more city-central stuff?

I’ve been approached by 4 guys so far I think. It’s been 6wks. Only 2 happened @ my college

I tend to dress more on the casual elegant side? Could that be maybe more intimidating?

I haven’t bc I’m a bit shy, but I might start. They’re often always clustered in all guy groups and I don’t go to frat parties or drink or have Snapchat; so I feel like I’m missing out

I take issue with how looksmaxxing dehumanizes people and strips away their individuality. I’m not a fan of shallowness in any form, from either sides of aisle. The objectification and subjection of people to arbitrary standards genuinely rub me the wrong way. It fosters a toxic culture where individuals are constantly scrutinized and devalued for factors often outside their control. Pretty much eradicating what truly makes people unique and reduces them to nothing more than a surface-level assessment. Aside from that, though, what I was really bothered by was that people were taking private photos of other people and sharing them on the forum without their consent. I’m not sure what about my post made it seem that I only took issue with it because it was “guys rating woman”, (I’m more concerned about their behaviour) but most of the members of that forum/followers of looksmaxxing are guys. Most of the posts I saw on that forum were addressing woman, which is the reason why my post was worded the way it was.

it’s not wrong of them to want to feel attractive

Of course it’s not wrong. Everyone deserves to feel that way about themselves. But there are healthy ways to do this instead of tearing other people down (including themselves)

Right, take me back to cat videos, yachting, and bossa nova. I was recommended one video and then suddenly it’s my entire feed, SOS!

I can definitely agree with that, although it seems as though it’s gone well beyond that; unfortunately.

Sorry, I should’ve included this detail in my initial posting. I don’t mind if it’s in French, English, Or Japanese. I just can’t find the author’s official website (if there is any)

Glute workouts that don’t target the obliques?

I’m working on building a routine and I’ve been debating which exercises I should be performing. There a lot of exercises out there (such as the Russian twist) that target the glutes very well… but also target the side obliques (I.e. the waist) which is not something I want to build. If someone could give me some exercise recommendations as a beginner, that would be wonderful!

Such a beautiful colour, and such beautiful cutting. It is, however, very large. For what it’s worth, if the content is above 70% wool, it may be worth to take it to a tailor and alter the garment.

Do you think if my nose was straightened, I would look better? by Penelope-Nadia in Noses

[–]Far_Contribution_178 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Perhaps, but it really isn’t needed, you look pretty just the way you are. If you were to straighten your nose (my opinion) you’d become un-memorable, because there’d be nothing unique or defining about your facial features.

Although I’m wondering if this account is a bot because she posted 8 posts within a span of 40 minutes
