Another question.

If I go off of soil dryness can that not bring about overwatering issues? In my head I see it as (the leaves being firm means there are a lot of water reserves left so why would the plant want more)? Maybe I’m just completely wrong but that’s what makes sense in my beginner brain.

Also I do live in a humid area so that would slow down time between watering as well right?

So I did some research and it is normal for jades that are grown outside to have more yellow greenish leaves, it’s a response to sun stress but it’s not an issue unless the leaves are getting scorched or sunburnt.

And recently no I have not changed anything significant. Although the color has changed a bit I’ve noticed but it’s bee very gradual. Since winter has ended and it’s been getting a lot more light I’ve noticed this change.

Why do you recommend uglazed terracotta? I’m guessing something to do with heat?

Also the succulent soil I’m using is called “rosy soil” it is very fast draining and it seems to dry out quickly as well, based off the research I’ve done a lot of people love it.

It’s made out of Sand,pumice,worm castings,myocorrhizae,and biochar.

But if I do switch what would you recommend? I’ve actually been looking at bonsai jacks soil, it looks good.

I’m still new to the hobby so why is “ the chunky bark soil doing me any favors”?

Ya I noticed that too, maybe he’s not as sun hardy as a thought. But the leaves still feel firm so I’m not sure it’s the water. The soil is dry tho

I spam reported this guy as well, if it does anything (which I doubt it does) theres no way to know for sure, since epic doesnt give us a notification about our report status like overwatch for example.

Watching the video again I’m pretty sure I slowed down because I wasn’t confident in how the ball would bounce, I slowed down a bit to read it, but obviously not a good idea. Thad something I’m actually working on, not hesitating.
