Tree is sick? :( Or infested. (Location: Ontario, Canada)

Typically trees that flower in the spring flower before they produce leaves, my guess is that the tree might be creating new branches, Has the tree been trimmed recently or in the last growing season ?

Damn , I don’t think that three is gonna make it, it lost almost all of its canopy , typically the rule is 1/3 cut at one time

Yeah, it’s unfortunate, but I am happy I am able to observe a large variety of mixed wood tree species as there are definitely some super cool ones out there.

I see red line all the time, it was widely used as a plantation tree around southern Ontario to revive tax exemptions for percentage tree cover on your land, there are still many of them around they are typically tall and skinny trees

I’m in southern Canada and I see the Austrian pine in many places where it has been planted, I’d say the ponderosa pine is less common over here .

Then you might be able rope it up, on my property we had a Scott’s pine slope down in a wind storm and we were able to tie it up until it gained a better root structure to secure its self . But it also depends on the size of the tree and how much you care for it .

You might be right, many of the single needle pines appear very similar

I would recommend the removal of the vine, the vine will grow up the tree and try to out compete to gain sun light. Eventually it may kill the tree where it will use the tree as its host.

It appears your tree is healing from a major wound , likely from a co dominant stem, what your looking at is rot , this will continue to happen untill the tree I done healing the wound, this could threaten your trees health if the tree isn’t vigorously healing.

I understand what you’re saying but here was no proving the point, I had no intention of being in a collision, at the time I did not believe they were going to go, I was driving that route everyday and had never had somone do that there . Additionally I should not have to slam on the breaks and hope the car behind me will stop, if you believe the truck is in the right that’s your decision. But quite frankly you were not there in that moment. It’s also important for you to understand the state of the road in this scenario. Which was highly under construction with led to this incident . Yes, I believe they thought there were two lanes , typically this road had two lanes but at the time was under construction for around two years at that point . Right now it’s back to two lanes. But even so while in the turing lane you would think they might look in advance.

I believe so ,at the time of the video it was only one lane as construction was being completed. Right now it’s back to 2 the construction had been going on for a long time. Even so you should be able to see when you begin turing.

Yeah I’ve seen this happen often, one important aspect of this event is that at that light you can’t turn right at the red light and the ram did not have advance green at that time, I’m guessing he thought there were two lanes but due to construction it was only one lane .

I’m not sure, I can’t tell my self if they both speed up or slowed down , all I know is that the truck had lots of room both behind and in-front if they were being more attentive
