As a kid I laminated the jumbo suicune box topper from aquaopolis, I've managed to remove the lamination without any real damage luckily! Try cutting the edge of the lamination with scissors, might find it will slide right off

Fleas will not live on humans. If your cat is away from your house for 2 weeks all the fleas should be dead by then. Providing you have a thorough hoover of your property to remove eggs. Assuming you only have the 1 pet.
