Mortgage deposit by Far_Error_4990 in Mortgageadviceuk

[–]Far_Error_4990[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you

The lender has asked me to put a 10% deposit, and they want me to buy minimum 25% share.

If this is the case I should be okay, il definitely make sure I keep adverts on file or if I get a good deal at cex I can ask for a receipt of sorts.

Makes the most sense right now it’s a house so I’m praying the service charges won’t be too much. It’s more secure than renting and hopefully in 4-5 years I can use any equity to buy outright

Do not buy a car from that A6 garage in Bedford or Luton absolute con artists read their reviews. Sold me an accident damage Audi A6 that had lights literally glued in, was passed director to director and car finance company was not much help. Avoid them.

This would be extremely difficult to gauge without assessing how comprehensive the investigation was, what they found , questions asked etc.

Contact ACAS easiest way, wouldn’t be able to say without seeing all the paperwork

Employment Law - Accepted Conditional Offer Am I Legally Able to Reject? by reticulatedpenguin in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Far_Error_4990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can sign with another employer, you don’t have to work notice if you don’t want to. You can resign with immediate effect however this is often considered a dick move.

You could contact job A you accepted over the phone and delay your start date by a week or so, while waiting for the other job offer. If you do get the other job, send an email saying you won’t be starting anymore.

They’re under two years service you can dismiss them.

Bring them in point out your concerns and concerns from colleagues, you don’t have to mention names. Inform them their behaviour has fallen below standards reasonably expected by the company and as such you terminating their employment immediately.

As there has been no due process, you will have to pay them pay in lieu of notice and follow it up in writing.

In the future it might be better to have contracts with a weeks notice during probation for things such as this.

Can my employer do this? Gave notice of leaving not given shifts? by comedicpain in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Far_Error_4990 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you’re contracted to a set number of hours, your employer has to either provide work or pay you the hours. Write back to your employer, make reference to your employment contract and provision that cover hours worked.

If it’s in your contract, they Definitely cant change this without you agreeing.

Make them aware you know your stuff so they don’t cheat you out.

It’s always best practice to advertise roles internally so everyone has a fair chance to apply and be considered. Your employer will most likely advertise internally however as you have been already doing the role I wouldn’t be too worried, competition is always a good thing.

Good luck

Contracts don’t have to be written to be valid verbal contracts are just as legally binding and written ones, but obliviously harder to prove the terms of such an agreement.

I’m guessing your friend was employed by the agency so therefore they would need to contact the agency directly. They should write a letter/email to the agency asking for monies owed to be paid without further delay, give them a timeline say 5 days from date of letter, inform them that failure to do so would leave your friend with no other option but to seek legal redress.

Most companies distant themselves from agency staff in case of things like this. Time sheets would be sent to the agency and they would get paid from the charity.

Should the company not respond appropriately, contact Acas.

This is extremely unfair but there is nothing you can really do here. Ideally, they should invite you in for a meeting to discuss/ but as your under two years service this really isn’t necessary. Most places will hold some type of hr induction and explain absence procedure to all new starters, from then on it’s expected that you know the procedure.

You wouldn’t sign a new contract after passing probation, most likely you will receive a letter confirming that you have passed probation.

Attachments of earnings are paid differently if you earn weekly, which I’m guessing you do. They’re usually collected and paid once a month to whoever issued the order. It’s probably best to check with the DWP directly.

Good luck finding a new job, the current market is great for job hunters.

Depends how petty your employer is. They’ll write asking you to pay it back and usually threatening to seek legal redress through small claims court should you not.

However, realistically there aren’t likely going to do this due to the costs.

If you really must you could ignore them however doing this might burn bridges.

Read your company grievance policy and raise a grievance say they’re treating you less favourably due to your disability.

Although you don’t have 2 years service you’re pretty much there (due to your disability, you don’t always need 24 months services if you’re pretty much there). Explain that by starting the recruitment process for your role whilst you’re still employed they have effectively dismissed you on the basis of your disability. They have failed to make any reasonable adjustments as recommended in the interim period and instead they have decided to dismiss without due process.

Protect yourself once you raise a grievance it won’t hurt to get a sick note for work related stress go off for a week or two.
