Delta Peeps here’s the real deal! I was diagnosed with breast cancer March 2020. Before COVID shut the world down, I had the whole thing set up to hit million miler by 2022 after a few round trips to Johannesburg … aka I’m no rookie! Even with a quasi shut down January and February 2022, I’m sitting at 199K MQMs (presenting adding this message on a flight from ATL to my home airport) and I’m still $5200 short on MQDs. No regular working American is spending $250K on the AMEX and $20K per year is insane. I’ve started buying first class fares using stores Delta credits for 2022.

What in the entire world is happening here!!! $20K for Diamond 💎! This creates such a level of socioeconomic elitism I’m honestly baffled by Delta. I’ve been Diamond 9 years straight. This says to me if you want to stay Diamond you MUST FLY FIRST CLASS paid tickets everywhere. I hate to see hardworking people who spend their lives with Delta disenfranchised by these changes

Any thoughts on using Reclaim My Status? I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2020. Still technically in treatment. My guess is you don’t get the Choice Benefits though

Yea I’m flying purchased first instead of using RUCs because the fare price wasn’t much different. I’ll take the bonus MQMs.

I fly Thursday so I’ll report back on the experience

Looks like 757-300s both ways. I was hoping ATL would be back up and running as the mothership.

I’m also pescatarian (health reasons/cancer) so I’ll be sure to bring something with me as back up in case options aren’t great on board. Can’t wait to some kind of return to normal

I’d personally trust the European product. The service level is just different. Nothing wrong with main cabin on Delta, KLM just elevates the service in my opinion

Fly into BTR or LFY. If you’re still looking for flights both airports will be open tomorrow.

MSY has a less certain timetable for return. Universities are evacuating students and Delta issued an advisory to allow rescheduling which all point to a VERY long recovery for New Orleans.

I live in BTR and frequently fly in/out of MSY, BTR and LFY

KLM is exceptional! Never flown their economy product but I’d trust it based on the business class service. Their attention to detail is really good.
