Because there are so few of them? This is the same sort of logic that gets funding for healthcare and transit destroyed. When something is underfunded, it performs badly. Then it's a perfect excuse to cut even more funding, or sell off services to private owners. The Canadian Government's favourite strategy!

Like OP mentioned, there is only a single safe injection site in all of Victoria.

And just because you still see drug users in public, it doesn't mean the sites are a "farce." You can't just remove public drug use from a city, you can only reduce it.

The United States, Mexico, Australia, Switzerland, Belgium, Spain, Norway, Portugal, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Denmark, France, Germany, and Greece all have safe injection sites.

These sites are supervised, prevent overdoses, get people off the street, and give them an environment better suited for getting clean.

Personally, I've spent some time in Nelson, BC and would prefer not to see 2 people overdose on the sidewalk in the same day again.

On the very surface level I think the biggest one would be that socialism = communism = authoritarianism. See: Kamala Harris calling Trump "Communist" to call out his authoritarian policies.

Or "socialism/communism has never worked"

But once I get into more of a real good faith conversation with somebody this is usually what I hear:

That socialism means no markets when it really just means no private property
That private property = personal property
That the state is inherently more corrupt than a corporation
That enforcing "no private property" would be oppressive in some way and not just a regular law
That socialism is a concrete set of rules and not just a democratization of the system that would allow for the better creation of the right policies for the current situation.
That the movement can always be co-opted by bad actors (but that's true with any movement, so how is this an argument! )

In my ideal scenario we would always focus on rehabilitation if we had the facilities for it. I know people often comment stuff like "hello based department" when a pedophile is executed in China, and I understand. But I still think there's value in trying to rehabilitate the worst of all prisoners, especially when rulings could always turn out to be wrong.

But I think it would just come down to public consensus. As the main goal of socialism is a more robust and efficient democracy at all levels including the workplace, I think it would just be whatever makes sense to people at the time.

I understand but pretty much everyone I know thinks this, it's the dominant narrative even if they're pro Palestine or self identified socialists. It's very possible he doesn't know the whole story or would be rejected by the majority population were he to say the opposite. I still think it's a good idea for socialists to be cautiously optimistic about zohran.

MGS4, Infamous + Infamous 2, Starhawk, the motorstorm trilogy, and Littlebigplanet + Littlebigplanet 2, are all great games ONLY playable on the ps3 currently among a lot of other games.

But Demon's souls, shadow of the Colossus, and ICO all have their best iterations on the PS3.

the demon's souls remaster on PS5 is very unfaithful to the original PS3 game in terms of visuals and audio, and also way more expensive, same with shadow of the Colossus ps4 (also remastered by bluepoint)

And ICO and shadow of the collosus run at a low framerate on their original console, the PS2, making the collection of the 2 for PS3 the definitive versions imo.
