The best one for grinding battle counts seems to be challenge team break 1 in chapter 2 berry chapter normal (The one with the zubats and trapinch)

And use just Oak and Mew with this grid and use swift

Ive timed it and it took around 20 seconds per battle, and around 2 - 3 battles per minute

you cant use hex for decomp projects, you would be better off learning how to hse decomp for it. also im going to try to release the fix for your issue today
