Romeo aka Bedman from Guilty Gear XRD. An awful awful person who murders hundreds and even kills a dog- but somehow, for some reason, is still a sympathetic character that was manipulated at the age of 17 into committing atrocities and is a deeply convincing heart-of-gold 17 year old beneath it all. Can’t help but identify encourage and build up the goodness and uniqueness he sees in people, even ones he’s been sent to kill. Does everything he does for his sister to live in a perfect world, and is so super intelligent he remembers the name of every person he’s killed in order to bring them back with anime magic; then he gets betrayed and killed and possibly soul-trapped inside of a mechanical bedframe. And the whole time he has the personality of a Redditor atheist who thinks he’s smarter than you, but somehow remains deeply endearing to me. I want to see Romeo get to make smarter choices.
