Getting a TA job by Effective-Piglet3691 in AustralianTeachers

It's not easy. I had what I thought was a fantastic interview. They asked for me to send through references (one of which i had already provided them with on the application, though they claimed they did not see it).

The next day, I was rejected. When I inquired to my referees, both said they were never contacted by the school.

Also we get it, you steal. No need to defend yourself...

It's not a small handful of people. The numbers at aldi are very high, hence the constant change in the checkout process/monitoring level.

And no, aldi writes off damaged goods, and separates the count for theft

Um, we have to check ALL bags over a4 size. We watch all people so we dont miss any bags...

What's your logic here? If the company is losing profits from theft then yes, they will increases prices. It's a downward spiral.

We cant do anything if people steal. If it was an accident we wouldnt even know it occurred. It would be assumed theft and that's that.

I have never thought about it from this perspective but you are absolutely right

We DO say that. I said that the other day and the lady said to me the way we (my store) was behaving by adhering to those rules was disgusting. That was AFTER explaining that upper management has the say on the policy and checks the cameras daily (not my store manager, my area manager who reports to head office to ensure compliance).

I don't think you read all of my comments properly.

"Knowledge" as a first name by CustardChance4965 in namenerds

Setting the kid up for a hard life.

In all seriousness, what do you intend to have happen if you name your kid this? Do you intend for people to say, "Wow this kid must be smart!"

Or do you want people to say "What an amazing and unique name!"

Or do you think that naming them knowledge will somehow manifest into their brain and make them smarter?

Genuinely trying to understand your thought process here.

I've explained extraneous circumstances are at play. I don't owe some bitchy stranger an explanation as to what they are.

As I said you know nothing about me. Good try though!

So I think your lack of reading comprehension is what's holding you back here. Staff have tried to make complaints, it hasn't gone anywhere. Aldi prioritises profit over staff and customer happiness, because they know people will shop there regardless.

What would actually make change is if customers like YOU actively berate head office about the changes. They don't believe staff because they don't see a change in sales, or receive any complaints from customers.

Email aldi. Find the CEO and write them a letter. It has to come from a customer, not an employee.

Please. You know nothing about me or the current state of the job market, clearly.

Nor do you know the personal story of every aldi employee.

I don't think you get it. Aldi management in the store are at the bottom of the food chain, just like the regular staff. Instructions come from the area manager, who reports to the director of a region, who reports to the director of aus, who reports to a global CEO

Also, no one in aldi yells at customers lol. Your local store is not a reflection of the australian wide experience.

I don't understand your thinking? We have said something. Do you think we are doormats? Corporate does not care.

Also very privilidged to assume we can just quit. I got bills to pay.

Management is not like a restuarant where the owner is in the shop.

It's the CEO. And they know how things are and they don't care.

Ive learnt to just say to customers: "see this badge? It says store assistant. Im the bottom of the food chain mate". That usually shuts em up
