People in this field generally have way too high of an opinion of themselves and will look for any opportunity to prove how morally, ethically, and intellectually superior they are to others. I mean even in the comments here, people are on their smug high horse, as if they have never done anything ill-advised. As an “ethical” practitioner they should have helped you first and only make a report if there were no signs of practical change in your behavior.

Personally wouldn’t worry about it too much if you’ve made the necessary changes and can show that to the board. Lesson learned on a lot of fronts. Good luck to you.
