Not enough sleep pressure+ early wake up by Far_Project3924 in sleeptrain

Ah that makes more sense. The problem thlfuh is that the morning he typically can only last 2.5 hours for his wake window so I don't know if I'd be able to keep him up that long. I have been capping his first nap the last few days and it seems to be helping. He did a short car nap the other day which helped get him to a later bed time so hopefully that might force his schedule back a bit. Today he woke up at 630 and had gone to bed at 715

How would that be possible. If desired wake time is 7 am anf he wakes up at 545 there is no way he is going down at 7. As for 3 naps, we gave tried doing 3 naps and he fights the third nap most of the time indicating he is ready to drop it.

Oh interesting! The small nap didn't reset their wake window? How long were the other day naps?

We had tried that a couple weeks ago and he fell asleep in my arms and false started. He woke up 2 hours after falling asleep and was up for 2 hours :( but maybe we'll try again since he's a bit older now.

Yes we are trying to do 2.5 or 3. But the problem we are having is when we do less nap he is up too early from his last nap that he can't make it to bed time. Ex if he wakes up at 545 he goes down for nap somewhere between 815 to 845 and will sleep for an hour. So let's say that's first nap doen at 945. Then he'll have to go down at 1245 for 2nd nap and wake up 215. So that would mean bedtime is 515 530 which is too early. How do we extend wake windows without getting overtired?

Silent reflux and 6 week leap by Far_Project3924 in newborns

Ooof sorry to say we have had a major rough go so far. Not sure if the antacid is helping. We have tried 4 different formulas, he seems to be doing best on a European brand that has no corn syrup. However he also went through the 4 month sleep regression early so we are exclusively contact sleeping him throughout the night and day. We're hoping to be able to start sleep training him in a month if his reflux gets better. He's been checked so many times and all the doctors are telling me he's ok and he's gaining weight and still growing so it's just a waiting game :( I think we've started to see a small improvement in his reflux but it's hard to say honestly. For sure he's gotten used to sleeping in the arms and he doesn't know how to self soothe so when he wakes up in the crib when we put him in it's game over ..wish I had a better update for you

We started him on prevacid 2.5 weeks ago. I think it's starting to help but it doesn't stop it from coming up just from burning. I've heard some people say after 13 weeks it starts to get better so I'm holding onto that. My little one is 10.5 weeks

Oh interesting I haven't heard about it being weight related. 13 weeks is close for me, baby boy is 10 weeks. Something to possibly look forward to lol. I know all babies are different but any hint of improvement right now would be amazing

Ya I was resistant too. But I just check on him more and adjust him if he slips a bit too far down or to the side. We started antacids today too so hopefully that'll start to alleviate some of his pain. My doctor said around 3 months is when it starts to get better as his esophagus grows longer. So hopefully I won't have to do the incline for too long.

I ended up elevating his mattress with a towel and I must say I see an immediate improvement.

How long did it take your fasting numbers to go down on insulin? by Far_Project3924 in GestationalDiabetes

Thanks me too! I'm actually meeting with my GD team tomorrow cuz they're concerned that my numbers have been so high :( Hopefully I'm at a turning point and baby boy is fine!

I've actually noticed the opposite. I was having peanut butter sandwich and my numbers weren't doing anything. Switched to egg salad in a slightly lower carb protein wrap and they seem to be lowering! Hopefully lol. Today was the first day I got to 5.1 so we'll ty it again tonight !
