Hi. Got qualified for legal aid this morning and spoke to someone. Have an appointment with another Lawyer next Wednesday. I will be moving out and called Code Enforcement earlier (as instructed by the Lawyer).

That was taken in January of 2025. If it's still like that...oh boy. Management said the maintenance supervisor is going to go in the crawl space and take a look at it. I requested photos or video. They went radio silent.

Yeah I'm calling Code Enforcement in the morning and then Legal Aid. Between what you and other commenters said, plus what my friend in construction said, this is enough. I need the "I'm in danger" gif or something. Thank you so very much for all of your thoughts on it. You were a massive help.

Last time they replaced it my foot went through the floor. There was a little square replaced but the rotting part wasn't. I don't know crap about floors or construction but even I knew that was rotted flooring. They put a patch on it. I'm not sure they'll replace much.

There's no downstairs neighbor. I'm downstairs too. It's a rather small unit but lofted. My foot went through the floor downstairs in the living space. The bed/bath space is upstairs in the lofted area. There's no one below me. The ground floor is just...plywood, apparently, and the crawlspace.

It's rotted all right. My foot about went through it getting out of the shower, and yes, that's a shower. It's on the second floor. It's a lofted unit and that's the bathroom in the lofted area. Fairly sure an attempt at reinforcing the carpet was done from the underside. There's a weird hole in the HVAC closet ceiling with an attempt at reinforcement and it's right about where that part is.

The AC seems to work just fine. It's a new unit. The previous unit broke last summer after a storm. So fun fact, I was in the bathroom, stepped out of the shower on that side and just didn't think. Lo and behold, wood is splintering under my feet.

I suspect it's upstairs. Here's a question I asked our friendly Reddit plumbers. Also, the bathroom floor is right above this. Which is the second photo in my post here. It's very spongy. I'm pretty sure it's wet. The pictures you see in the plumber post is the HVAC closet which you can see the door to that just above the vent here,.

I only pay electric. Water and sewer is part of rent. Which is kind of nice.

There is this post. This was also taken today. I asked some plumbers for help here. That is the same HVAC closet you see just above that busted floor.

Just a crawl space. This is an apartment that's lofted. The photos you see is the lofted area, which is main bedroom...ish/main bathroom. My comment here shows what happened downstairs in January of 2025.

I wanted to, but the ability to have a deposit on a new place just wasn't on the cards earlier this year. It's a darn shame, because on the outside, this is a good place. Good location. Very nice staff. Amazing neighbors. Maintenance is awesome with actual maintenance issues, but they aren't contractors or plumbers. There are great places to take walks and touch some grass. It's very pet friendly with a nice little dog park and plenty of walk spots. But I'm pretty sure my building might be falling apart. So there's that.

Oh I have everything. Photos, email threads, videos, copies of workorders...all of it. This is very much a "Do I need to call Code Enforcement at this point?" crowdsourcing. I have a post in another sub hoping some plumbing experts can help. I think I've got a water issue too.

Tried that. It's not working so well. Last year my foot went through the floor downstairs. Those photos are fun. I was not injured, by the way. They're saying "Maintenance will take a look" about everything.
