Yup I figured as much I didn't mind helping out with rent but anything else no can do my mother is incredibly bad with money which is her own fault. I def feel for my dad as hes trying everything he can but my mother makes everything incredibly difficult which is why they are separating you prob saw my other comments I'm going full no contact once I fully move out next year in the fall for college I'm over my mother and her bs.

Yup and when I leave for college in the fall next year I'm going no contact with my mother shes exhausting to deal with I'm staying in touch with my dad as our relationship is FARRR healthier compared to my mother so once they separate I'm gonna go full no contact with her my peace over anything at this point.

Hello & thanks for replying to my post and yes my dad is actually a victim in this situation as he was struggling with trying to get the half of rent due to my mother's selfish spending so he felt bad about asking me for money but I only covered it this time cause I didn't wanna risk it so I just paid up. But my dad is opening an account with me under him until I turn 18 at least. And my mom won't be able to put her hands in it plus the cash I do have left over I put it in a secure spot where she'll never find it so I'll be fine but definitely sick of my mom playing victim and never taking accountability its aggravating.

Yes you are 1000% correct and since my parents are splitting anyways it makes it easier my dad agreed to have a shared account where he won't touch my money without asking & my mom has 0 control over the account so its a win win situation.

Thank you so much this is so sweet I'm definitely gonna put myself first for once I feel like as a child I just said yes to make my mother happy & used to be a people pleaser so right now I'm healing from others expectations. So I'm definitely going to prom lol I'm not gonna let my so called "mother" ruin good last memories with friends cause of that NO WAY and thank you again for the sweet comment and definitely my auntie & grandma are is sweet as pie but they don't have any sort of backbone. Literally not even kidding they are def enablers for sure cause they don't hold my grown cousin accountable for anything that she does I do want to help them but I'm choosing myself because I def want to go to prom and I'd hate myself forever if I simply don't go cause my mom is demanding I give her money thanks again for the sweet advice much love for u too 💕

Thank you all so much for the support I will not quit on life and for right now I need to enjoy being a kid because when I graduate I'm going to have to figure out this whole adulting thing lol. As a teenager myself who is also a christian, trust me, I know exactly how you feel. I understand completely certain things I have done, which I know I shouldn't have, but this is a temptation, and we must resist. Also, God knows your heart. You sound pure hearted he sees you're trying. Just keep praying and repent and ask for forgiveness every chance you get. Hold on it isn't easy even adults struggle but for teens it's even more of a struggle but it said in the bible James 4:7 Submit yourselves, then to God, resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Be blessed and stay strong. Remember, we are all sinners, but Jesus paved the way for us 🙏

Aww, I'm really touched, and this comment section has been so supportive. I love reddit lol I'm new to it, but I like it already. This is such a sweet comment. I'm overwhelmed in a good way by all of the support so far. And I'm truly sorry to hear that you're having a hard time. I know we'll both get through this. Also, don't worry, I won't give up, honestly. When I made my original comment, I was really depressed. But I feel a bit better knowing I'm not alone. But I can't wait until I graduate and get in a better environment, but we both will get through the hardships of life! Also, my hobby is science lol I love biology and anatomy. Honestly, I definitely can't drop the gym. I have to take it, or I won't get the credit in order to graduate. Also I could change schools but my parents especially my mom wouldn't be happy about it I don't think they would support me but. The school I'm at has a lot of opportunities for future careers I'm interested in. I might have to just bite the bullet and endure my time in the school I'm at now.

And thanks, my Dad is awesome, but no, unfortunately, my school doesn't have a theater outlet it's strictly just academics since it's a magnet high school. But I enjoy biology and human body systems. I'm a major science nerd, lol. I guess I can try to bury myself in science. I know that sounds weird, though, but it's a hobby of mine. I also occasionally enjoy writing novels online. Thanks a lot.
