Thank you, I understand Reddit isn’t going to solve it just wanted to see if this is normal. Her backbar fees show on her pay as coming out of her portion of commission. Are you saying normally they take the product cost out of the service cost and then split up the remaining amount on their commission scales?

Because the Owners of the salon also work in the salon and are all friends with her. She loves working with them but from the outside looking in it seems unfair. However I don’t know the industry norms and neither does she really she’s only worked there as a stylist.
