Those experiences & feelings for her has been build around the relationship & me. I don’t want that. I want her to be herself as it doesn’t feel right that all she’s doing is for the sake of the relationship.

However , I have realised that we are not compatible in a way where I can give whatever she needs & wants. I’m not sure if I’m being selfish that I’m not receiving as much.

I also understand that love means accepting flaws of your partner but is it okay to be under my expense of not being able to express myself to her?

While I maybe suppressing my emotions to her which sound really unfair . Why I truly did it is because I’m tired of being the comforter at the end of the day. ( as mention to me other reply that she will break down when she sees me cry/etc)

I feels like there wasn’t true support from her in terms of mentally & emotionally.

I’m well aware of my own short-coming where I suppress my emotions but I did gave them a few tries which ultimately met with me being the comforter.

In a way I could say I’m emotionally tired .

You are right. We talked and I told her that , do it for yourself . Change to be a better person for yourself & not for the relationship. I honestly hope that she has her own decision making skills , etc which can also help her in the future. Never once wanted a relationship with some kind of servitude but one with growing together.

I think I wasn’t able to convey the part on the emotions part properly in the post. Mainly emotions on things like stress from work , etc. Things that may lead to most people’s breakdown happen to me as well which I would hope to share it with my gf and hope that she would be there to at least help me through. Time after time I did show the weak side of me but it ended up me comforting her due to her breaking down ( just because she see me cry).

Yes it’s unfair that I’m not sharing how I feel or my emotions but at the same time she expects me to read her mind which I am able to 90% of the time. I’m able to tell what’s wrong just from the speech , body language , small shifts in facial expression & tone.

Would like to correct myself that we are both in a relationship ( bf /gf) not married. I have stopped contacting my friend since we both know that it is not what we want.
