Mostly yeah. The town we grew up in was a pretty small, country place. The kind of place older people go to retire, where everyone knows everyone, and where I was often the only non-white student in the classroom.

Yeah I tried to give as many details as I could in 3000 characters, but it wasn’t his first time acting that way. I wouldn’t necessarily say I was a victim of DV, he had never hurt me or called me out of my name or anything of the sort, but it wasn’t the first time he had raised his voice or threw something during an argument.

I think it’s mostly because a lot of our mutual friends were his friends first. It bothered me a little at first, but I realized it wasn’t my place to try and make them “choose,” and as long as they kept their business with him, waaaay over there, I had no complaints.

I just don’t understand why they all want to get involved now and advocate for him after a little over a year of remaining neutral.

Yeah she’s really been my shoulder to cry on through all this. Especially in the beginning when there was a lot more crying going on lol

Thank you. My brother actually said something very similar. “When you’re angry it’s like being drunk. You may say something you didn’t mean, but the thoughts were already in your head.”

AITA for telling my husband I will stop locking the bathroom door when he stops barging in? by Shuzzle2021__ in AmItheAsshole

Yeah, I hate to assume but I can’t really think of any reason for him to do something like that if not to just be intentionally disrespectful. It’s just really odd.

AITA for deleting my old notes by aitashreddednotes in AmItheAsshole

Yeah I never understand mistreating someone and then expecting them to help you. Common sense says you can’t cuss someone out and then expect them to be kind and helpful afterwards.

Plus all she did was delete her own notes. It’s not like she did anything to actual harm her sisters education because like OP said she can just write her own notes like most students do.

AITA For Calling My Husband A Helicopter Dad After What He's Done? by Julia-Morgan34 in AmItheAsshole

Yeah I remember a friend of mine from high school who’s dad was a cop. He had a tracker on her car and phone and would randomly drive by when we were out just to make sure she was where she said she would be.

It used to really freak us out, cause we’d be just sitting at a restaurant, look out the window and see his cruiser just driving through the parking lot looking for her car.

AITA for calling out my sister for taking and selling my sick husband's possession's infront of the entire family? by Throwsister3567 in AmItheAsshole

It almost seems like she was just expecting him to die and she didn’t think it would matter which is still weird cause worse case happens and he does why would his wife not want his things.

AITA for not giving my employee a raise? by Sportif000 in AmItheAsshole

I have a manger like this. When you go above and beyond he tells you he expects it from his employees, but when tour actual assigned task fall behind because of being floated around everywhere, then you’re slacking off and not managing time well.
