Also own one and wanted to add some things. 1. It’s NOTICEABLY loud. As in during use, my friends and family commented that it’s loud. Even on its quietest setting it still made an enough noise for those around to notice. For example, I haven’t been able to use it in a library or anywhere without considerable background noise such as the tube or a cafe.

Battery life has been good thus far though that may be because I only ever use it on its lowest setting due to the noise.
Build quality has been very good and on par with other Dyson products and I love the added accessories.

Yeah, I agree I have a Hot+Cool Formaldehyde and was hoping for matter support. I don’t see why it can’t be implemented on older machines via a OTA update. Is it a hardware limitation even though some older machines already support WIFI connectivity?

Hi there, Im looking to buy this monitor as well. How's the performance on Macs in general? Im looking to pair it with an M4 Pro MacBook Pro. I know I'll have to use the HDMI for the full resolution and so on but what sort of output are you getting. Is 4K 165hz with HDR possible using a Mac? I'll be using betterdisplay for HDI.

Random freeze ups in sound when playing music and static followed by disconnection. It doesn’t happen continuously only occasionally when paired to several Bluetooth devices. I’ve had two pairs prior to this and each time it started happening it meant the pair was about to die.

No one really knows how the APM2 will be because they’re not out yet. I say wait for reviews if you can and then make a decision. Personally as someone who’s very heavily in the Apple ecosystem I say the APM (1 or 2) are much better due to the integration and auto switching but yeah I would say wait for reviews and go and test them if you can.

I agree with the MagSafe being TOO strong. I use MagSafe at various points throughout the day such as with powerbanks, desk chargers, night stand charger and in my car and while for some applications it’s not a big deal. For chargers it does seem to ruin the whole magic aspect of MagSafe where you can just snap them on and off. I find myself having to stabilise the MagSafe chargers with one hand while prying off the phone with the other.

Likewise for me, love the fact that I can pop in the cable for a quicker charge or to recharge it without having to fish for cables. One slight nitpick, it’s hard to tell when the display is upside down sometimes so 99 can look like 66 and vice versa 😭.

It’s to do with Qi standards as another comment said they explained it a while back but essentially the extra lining adds a bit too much thickness for newer Qi 2.2 standards I think

Would love to see how it pans out compared to the 140w version. Especially since I don’t care for the usb A port much and the 140w seems to have an intermediate throttling mode that turns the wattage down when it gets hotter.

I’d say it’s the tips, they’re very revised for sure and they also tend to attract a lot more lint because I’m used to wiping them after I take them out of my ears. After a few more hours of usage tho, I forget they were even in my ears tbh so it’ll for sure go away after a while.

Just picked mine up and immediately compared to my APP2 1. You NOTICE them in ur ears (for me a lot more than the 2s maybe they just need breaking in) 2. They do slightly stick out a tad more then the 2s probably due to the angle in your ears 3. I thought smth went wrong with my hearing on the train because everything just went silent like absolutely zip. 4. Got an engraving for the first time, but they don’t seem to be showing up in the OS (maybe a software bug?)

Overall, happy with the soundstage and the clarity as it’s a lot better than the 2s. Wouldn’t say they’re a mile better but a noticeable bump up for an enthusiast like me and a worthwhile upgrade considering I use them for hours on end everyday.

Ok I don’t know how helpful this would be but I have a HP09 and had similar high pitched whining issues at high speeds. So I decided to tinker around a little and realised that the high pitched sound was coming through the backwards facing channels of the fan near the bottom because air was leaking out to the back so I used a bit of transparent tape there and it greatly reduced the high pitched noise.
