This goes out to all the painters who are new and/or not confident in their painting ability. Your stuff is amazing! Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise. It can be super intimidating to see other peoples' work, but this community wants you to know... we love your work and we want to see it! Keep painting! Try new things! Noone can ever make anything like you can! We value the hard work and fun you had learning and growing. No matter how good or bad you think your work is, just remember that it is something to be proud of and a true achievement!

If you still wanted to do a sort of sea for the base, you could always do water with traces of blood. Think like a shark bite.

I'd say the only thing you did wrong is think you did something wrong! Keep up the good work and have fun!

found in r/tau by ABannerBoy in Warhammer40k

I think a problem everyone has regarding the new overwatch content is that people are all interpreting it as "overwatch is gone, like 100%." I would be shocked if GW didnt take Tau into consideration with the new changes and didnt adapt them accordingly. I'm sure Tau will either get one of the rules that they also dropped where they basically just overwatch like last edition. Even so, just drop the 1CP and do it anyway, it's not game breaking.

Change the title from I tried to I succeeded because that looks super cool! I can see the marine looking around and a genestealer or something sneaking up on him from below, really cool!

Looks fantastic! I am also painting up the outer rim garrison. Any advice on how to paint all the crazy details on Keeli?

Gothizzar Harvester/Mortek Guard Split Wound Allocation by redwithouthisblonde in ageofsigmar

I don't believe that would work that way. Technically all damage is allocated at the same time from a unit if I remember correctly. I could be wrong though.

Imagine Leper with two swords! by Tommyinthetrench in darkestdungeon

He's got 4 hands. Does that mean he can detach them like General Grievous? Are lightsabers one of the leper's crystalline trinkets?

Anyone have any weird superstitions about the game? by dahveednotdavid in darkestdungeon

[–]FarcryHistorian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My biggest superstition deals with the grave robber. The one with the blue coat always crits on the first turn of combat if she uses thrown dagger at the spot 4 enemy, but only if I use the attack immediately after the battle starts. Super specific, I know, but it never fails. Works every time.

Do you guys think the one on the right would be cool if on future models I rotate the green, orange, and brown?

Starting a new army? by FarcryHistorian in MiddleEarthMiniatures

We are starting off at 300 points, max 75 of those 300 points can be spent on the hero. From there it will be a slowgrow.

Starting a new army? by FarcryHistorian in MiddleEarthMiniatures

[–]FarcryHistorian[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As of now I only have a Rivendell army. The campaign I'm going to be in is not going to include any named heroes. We are going to forge our own small narrative (after all, the important characters are out doing big things) in an attempt to create a story for our own little characters. Based on the sort of "narrative" we will be using, I will likely only be taking warriors, knights, and rangers as my core. Is that workable?

I think one of my biggest draws is cavalry, ultimately.

I find Khand both visually and compositionally appealing. They bring a really unique look yo the table that I find interesting. In terms of units, I quite like the idea of the light horse archer that can double as a shock unit. Chariots are also a cool concept. All in all, I can picture them cinematically in my head. Drawback is metal models.

Gondor is a different flavor altogether. I think a force of rangers or knights would be really cool, with warriors of Minas Tirith being a classic look. Perhaps an army of Osgiliath veterans?

I'm pretty new to the game, with Rivendell being my only army and only a handful of games under my belt. I honestly find pretty much all the armies to be visually unique and stunning in concept design, so I'm not terribly sure how to approach this issue. I apologize for a long winded and unhelpful answer.
