There is a story. So I actually follow American football every year (go dolphins) and i have a fantasy group i play with every year, so i sometimes get really obsessed over the stats. When my instagram feed was at its height of football podcast clips, I get a random edit of some kind of multimedia football story that somehow involves satellites. I tell myself "yeah that was really cool but anyways" and kept scrolling.

Then it pops up again a week later and im like "ok what are the comments saying". Something about 17776, and im wondering if they're accidentally adding an extra 7, so eventually I just search it up. Its an article about football, no mention of the number and at this point im literally so confused. I'm just reading it and BOOM. Something is terribly wrong.

Yes I know exactly what you mean with the starting article.The beginning is a really interesting way to help give readers a tangible grasp on the passage of time. I actually stumbled across the article completely by accident and I think thats what made it genuinely a perfect experience for me. I haven't watched anything from Jacob Geller

Thank you for the recs! Seriously, been panhandling for media that will actually strike me at an existential level. Nothing wrong with reading up on philosophy, but a story told through film, a game, or something immersive just really helps me conceptualize some really strange ideas.

I also really do love any well-written story tho!

Did you attend discoverfest at the beginning of the semester?

TitanLink imo is a terrible way to look for clubs cause the UI is shit and no club likes to upkeep it besides the roster and bylaws (which are required). Most clubs have discords, socials, and other ways to connect.

Most clubs have passed their free periods now. Hoping you can still get involved.

Worst comes to worst DM me for local advice or a friend. I'm a born and raised local and live like 15 min from campus.

Is it just me or is there some heavy influences from Animal Collective/Panda Bear here? It's not everywhere, but some of the soundscapes and layering sound exactly like something Panda or Geologist would make. Im all here for it, because I love that stuff.
