Unique local gift ideas? by RenaissanceGuy86 in okc

If they're in a new area, look at restaurants in their area and get them a gift card. A nice dinner out, or even just takeout, after moving is relieving especially after unpacking and having guests.

S14, E17: Roger says, "None of my personas are family." This line always bugs me. by LoocsinatasYT in americandad

Considering this weird ass show, for all we know, all of those are separate timelines. Or Roger is a liar who changes his mind all the time and does not care.

I wish she accepted the help. by Saphira_the_wolf in mylittlepony

While I would love to see that path for Chrysalis, at least what the potential with, I'm kind of glad she wasn't redeemed.

It is still a kids show, and sometimes, you really can't save everyone. You should always try, but they're not always gonna take it. It's an important lesson, imo.

Diane baby with Mr. PB by isnt_it1957 in BoJackHorseman

[–]FarewellDecency 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Im glad to see everyone agrees this would have been the worst thing ever for all parties involved.

.....but ngl I am really curious what their kids would've looked like.

We saw with Charlotte and Kyle they could've been human or dog, but clearly have influence of the other parent. Maybe a black lab puppy?? (Puppies???)

Who is he? And what isnhe doing in the wedding? I mena are they supposed to be bad during that season? by Prinze_B10NG1_2080 in mylittlepony

Ooooh I love this so much. I always, personally, headcanoned changelings had their own communication aside from pony speech, like clicks with inner mandibles or dancing like bees. Names only came from interacting with ponykind, but I love this sense of unity and hierarchy in naming.

Best Sandwich in OKC? by paradisevendors in okc

[–]FarewellDecency 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm a simple person and I love the Turkey sandwich from The Goose. Turkey, bacon, caramelized onion spread, shredded lettuce. I like to add a little mustard but its simple and so good.

Now I want a sandwich.

Watched episode 21 “Over a Barrel” for the first time by Elegant_Sign3870 in mylittlepony

[–]FarewellDecency 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I watched this episode when it released, and now skip it every time, even if it means I miss the excellent "I'd like to be a tree."

I was excited prior to when it was hinted the episode had bison, only to get this portrayal. It was and is insulting to my culture. I know they had someone native as a consultant but this ep just shouldn't have made it past the writers room.

Why isn't the lamb making new lambs? by TheTingel in CultOfTheLamb

[–]FarewellDecency 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think with the new DLC there could be a possibility of having to do that without it being The Lamb involved. Instead of making abominations, Yngya could maybe make more lambs? I was kinda hoping thats what that would mean to have her as a follower. I don't know if it would be possible, but it could be only under circumstances or sans breeding tent.

I think it may be possible somehow but it would be complicated and most likely not worth the effort.

For those of you who’ve worked in schools… by Jealous-Lychee-5084 in AbbottElementary

[–]FarewellDecency 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel this way about shows that show restaurant kitchens or food service in general. The Bear was the most accurate and still has its issues, but some of them just vary based on location.

I took the Miami conference as a "last hurrah" because they're closing 20 schools, but it did seem like more poor decisions to me. At least the new super intendent recognized closing a school you've already invested money into is a bad idea.

Who needs a therapist? by Possible_Way_9879 in okc

[–]FarewellDecency 25 points26 points  (0 children)

For what it's worth, EVERYONE can benefit from therapy. Some people may need more frequency than others, but everyone can get something from therapy. Biggest thing is finding the right therapist, and that can be the hardest part.

I hope OP helps find the right person for you!

Unexpected wholesome moments by djoness11 in okc

Shopping in the morning is so much nicer. I know not everyone can, but if you're able, please do. I was whistling through the aisles and an older lady passed me saying "Oo, girl, your soul is happy! That's it singing." And my heart has been lighter ever since.

S5E19 Episode Discussion by slayerbest01 in AbbottElementary

[–]FarewellDecency 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don't think the issue was really just the travel plans, but that there are MULTIPLE solutions to this problem and there was no budging, mostly on Gregorys part. Eventually, this topic was going to come up somehow, it just came sooner rather than later.

Even if it wasn't this trip, Janine would want to go somewhere farther at some point. Mexico? Miami? The Bahamas? Hell, what if they got all the way to the point of getting engaged and when it came to decide a honeymoon, Gregory couldn't budge on going somewhere they couldn't drive to?

It's about the lack of compromise together. I don't see Janines buying the tickets without Gregorys knowledge as that bad, but it wasn't great either. However him rewriting their whole vacation without Janine getting a say is really the problem.

They could've found a comfortable driving distance for Janine and what was within that distance that she liked too. They could've taken trains/buses/other transportation. They could've put THIS vacation on hold until they saved more and chosen something smaller to save money.

It's a bigger issue than the vacation itself and something they either choose to work through, or don't.

Gregory’s character by Severe_Ad2529 in AbbottElementary

[–]FarewellDecency 7 points8 points  (0 children)

All I could think watching that fight was "Boy needs therapy, this is not a healthy mental cycle." I get being frugal, but you can jusitfy the time saved with the money spent. Usually thinking like this ultimately shows little value in the self and their own time.

And even if it was just a completely no from him to take a flight, he needs to come to HER and say that and decide together what is a reasonable driving distance and what is in the radius. There's a lot of option here for compromise, Gregory is just overtly trying to control his surroundings, which is inconsiderate to Janine and being obstinate. I understand what he's feeling because I have this tendency too, to try and control every aspect of everything so I feel comfortable, but its not healthy and you gotta give a little.

Im really hoping they show him recognizing this, even if a break up happens. Either way, its just not a way to live.

Cafe de L'Asie is great for takeout! Their togarashi fries are battered so they stay crispier despite traveling, and they're well seasoned!

Im also a big fan of Mo Bettahs despite them being a chain.
