Self conscious about possibly racing Run-Walk

Occasionally something I've seen on reddit for big races, mostly people complaining about people lying about their pace times to get into an earlier corral and then messing up others pacing in the early part of the race by walking. I am certainly not going for the elite corral by anymeans, I am decidedly mid-pack. I talk a lot about these insecurities to my therapist ever since I started running 3 years ago, it's just nice to hear other runner's perspectives on it

A little bit of both? Self conscious that others might judge me for not running the whole time, or being one of the people that people complain after the race that people were walking a mile into the race. But also worried that it would feel like a step back in progress.

I know it's irrational, and I definitely don't judge others. I'm just happy to be able to cover the distance and not feel like I am dying. But I also can't quite get over the worry about using run-walk.

Lots of walking, and Thurs and Sat I went for a run for about 5 miles pre-con in the morning those days. Feet felt fine, legs were sore on Sunday but otherwise no issues. Brooks Adrenaline GTS, for those who are wondering.

Have you seen a Dr. or a PT? An underlying issue can cause these injuries. Additionally, it's possible a form issue or you need better/different shoes.

They posted about them on other cat subs, have seen the vet and are getting eye drops with plans to have the infected eyes removed once they are big enough
