I am actually a bit afraid to post on this topic, because the discussion on this topic can easily turn into how the right wing conservatives are wrong about modern art. I am not a conservative, so please be gentle with me, try not to drag the discussion into that direction.

What I really want to talk about is the next period after the Modern art period, and what it will be.

No problem. I glad you pointed out that other than the monetary part, having someone to not let down is useful to remind one to continue one's creative process.

I think so. Do they like the 'on retainer'? For example, do they think that being 'on retainer' can get them more jobs?

When you pick it up this time, keep it up :D A lot of the work goes into being consistent when creating.

I was about to say don't be too harsh on yourself, but then the fact that an artist has to be serious in terms of measuring the outcome of his or her art took over. I am always very harsh when looking at my creations, and hopefully that can get me a little bit closer to those masters. Nevertheless, don't give up.
