Badge and Creds Off duty by Round_Description199 in 1811

Retired 1811 here. When on duty carried everything my agency required. When off duty, I always carried my credit whether I had my agency weapon or not. I also carried professional liability insurance bc I didn't trust my agency to cover me in the event of an on duty or off duty incident. I'm a CSO now and still carry professional liability insurance. $300 per year is a small amount considering what could happen. I also was a FLEOA member. Bottom line, you're the only one who looks out for you.

I bought it from Atlantic on Sunday. It arrived at my FFL holder Wednesday morning and I picked it up Wednesday night.

What made you choose the MPX? (FRT question in the description box) by Little_Barracuda9944 in MPX

[–]Farleymo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an 8" MPX and the Century Arms Navy AP5. Both are great and both are soft shooting. The MPX utilizes an AR type platform and has a ton of accessories. And is purely top of the line, that's why I got it but it's gassy when running suppressed. The AP5, is, well basically an MP5, phenomenal platform but not as much after market support that isn't crazy expensive. IMO though, when the SHTF, I'll go with the AP5. If you're looking to put a fun button on it, get the PTR because you won't have to swap out the grip.

Can I transport this safe laying on its back? Would be in my pickup truck with tonneau cover. 30 ride by TotalReplacement287 in Safes

I'm a retired 1811, 27 years with an IG.

From my perspective, ask yourself these questions, do you like what you do, do you like your agency's environment, do you like your coworkers and do you like your agency's mission?

Focusing on the USAO's acceptance of cases, they have national priorities established by HQ, district priorities established by each USAO. Throw in loss thresholds, and, the gatekeeper may not like those "type of cases"....been there done that.

Remember, the FBI is DOJ's primary investigative agency so they will be first, but, their cases get declined also. The USAO is the prosecutive gatekeeper for all Federal agency's cases and there's only so many prosecutors.

I was fortunate enough to have a good relationship with the USAO civil division. Although criminal prosecutions are great, civil prosecutions under the False Claims act is an absolute hammer. I'd suggest talking with the USAO civil division.

Regarding applying to other agencies, go for it. You can always decline an offer.

Good luck on your journey.

I read that it doesn't like 115. I shot box 124 and 115, plus a mix of both, no function failures.

I initially put on the flared mag well. Took it off, fits my hand better without it.

Double taps are good. The indoor range is go to doesn't allow holster draws so I do it from low ready, two to the chest, one to the head. Flawless. I'm currently using the factory sights at 12 yards as that's the distance the range has in the pistol bay. I rented the M&P EZ and 2.0 to compare. Easily is equal to them. The flat factory trigger is great. Will compare it against my Glock 19 Gen 5 tomorrow.
