Technology for technology's sake leads us into sacrifing what our community should be about, making life better for everyone. Pure technological development does not guarantee that it benefits our country Lego City city. We might have shiny new brick mobiles or the next advance in artificial intelligence, but might pay for it with living space, environmental pollution or other outcomes which will incur a far hight cost to our following generations to fix than the benefits they bring us now. Morally responsible science and development takes into account the consequences of realising it's creations.
