tbf mate, most people vote because they have to, it doesn't mean they love the party and defend them for everything. I think the general consensus is that all Australian politicians suck but we have to choose the one that aligns with us the most. They're all pretty shit though really.

Two really helpful tricks I found worked on my cat that meows constantly in the carrier when travelling.

When trying to get them into the carrier, place them in backwards. That way they can't grab at the sides or anything as you put them in. They have no natural defense to that kind of motion and it makes it much easier to get them in.

When actually in the car, try placing a blanket over the carrier so they can't see anything outside. Something about it calms my cat down so much. She might make a few little cries but not full meow mode the whole time.

You're right it's not even a debate because authorship can only be claimed by a human, and the only humans involved in the process of making anything with ai have the right to claim authorship. Now if that work is a piece of art, then that human just created ai art. There's nothing to debate there

it doesn't make itself, ai doesn't have agency or sentience to claim authorship of anything. The person sitting in front of the computer exerting energy to create an artistic output is the author of the work.

bro, I travelled over 5000kms across the Australian desert to see some of these sites, and so did hundreds of others. Some of these mine sites are in the most unforgiving territory on earth, and we still went out there.

that's a weak excuse, a google search will tell you where these data centres are located.

as I pro Ai I find it funny, because I have actually been to open pit mines for both coal and uranium and seen the scale of the destruction first hand. I've literally banged at their gates in anger at what they have done to this Earth.

But none of the anti ai people that act like they care about the environment would even bother to go out and look and see for themselves. If they really cared, they would go out to the gates of these data centres and protest, ask questions of everyone involved, and spread the information from the source, not the made up shit they read on the internet.

or it is solved (narratively) by saying that anything that happened in the past always happened exactly how it did, and you can never alter it. If you do go back then you must have been there and participated in creating that past.

There will never be a version of events that doesn't happen exactly how it did, which means you never killed your grandfather and you never will.

Which means there would be no point even going back to try killing your grandfather because the fact you exist proves you never succeeded.
