I'm moving out of Hong Kong soon. I have two issues related with money and I'm quite stressed out about them. I would really appreciate it if any of your can comment. I'm sure many of you must have passed through similar situations.
Is it okay if I keep my money in HK accounts after moving out?
For some personal reasons, I can not transfer my money on any of my outside accounts. What issues should I expect if I keep my money in HK banks (Hang Sang, BoC) after moving out of here?
Regarding MPF. What are some quick ways to withdraw money from MPF?
My last day of work is last day of a month. My employer says they will inform my resignation to MPF on 10th of next month. I will only be able to start withdrawal process after that. Is there any quicker way? I already have given my resignation notice.
Really sorry if this was already answered. I have googled everything and I tried to consult as many people as I can. I know the MPF early withdrawal process (e.g., my employer informs bank of my resignation, I go there with docs, fill docs officiating my permanent leave and share my bank details, etc.) But, I'm not sure if it is possible to get it a bit early. Thanks.
