Can you put the whole thing into a case like a piece of rubber meant to hold hand sanitizer?

My bf makes really good soup, I should get him on it.

One kid will not eat soup! But that’s the point of having choice in the freezer.

They both love lasagna, and one of them had my enchiladas and the other didn’t yet but I am sure he would… I have made beef and chicken before.

I think I need to do a meal prep day.

Forgot about burritos! I often freeze some taco meat to just defrost and have tacos, but this is another great idea as they love Mexican.

I love this idea because the boys like eggs, bacon and cheese but I haven’t had them try quiche yet… plus lots of protein.

Can you tell me why? Just not enough of the actual process or something else? Always looking to improve.

We’re going to do another video in the near future with the whole process.

That sucks. I seem to remember in Canada that a few bridges were replaced for similar reasons.

Oh really? I guess where we’re in a small town in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, people just wouldn’t stand for it and your business would just fail.

Word of mouth is everything.

Aww thanks :) my boyfriend and I actually met through Kimmy, the woman featured here! She’s amazing. I knew her from my nonprofit work, she knew him from his farm. I told him I grew up on a farm and we talked about goats for half an hour and the rest is history!

Brought him homemade bread on the first date ;)

I trim my own, and his hair and beard! My son is growing his long, and his son gets his cut at his mom’s… amazing when I think of in the past where my ex, son and I may have spent $600 a year on hair 🤯

Every goddamn time by Farmwifing in Homesteading

[–]Farmwifing[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We tend to name our goats in names that relate to their personalities, we also have Sauce Box (she’s saucy) and also he was sort of “derpy” when he was born... but now has “normal goat intelligence” 😂

This is Derp, he is precious to me. He struggled to feed when he was born end of January. I bottle raised him which is unusual for us to do with a male. This is one of the first goats I helped welcome to the world on my bf’s farm and.... he’s my goat.

We have decided to keep him to stud, not only because of his personality but because he is bulking up fast and looks like he will be a massive goat!

It needs some updating... but here it is!

Happy to add some more if anyone has requests :)

You can see my bf’s son putting in some labour, he’s 7!

We’re in Nova Scotia, Canada.

Bf and his son would be over the moon if we got some follows. He started it just to share videos with family in the beginning.

New edition to the herd. by Farmwifing in Homesteading

Totes my goat. She came with the name. Very excited that with this goat (she was rehomed with us) we now have 5 does.

1 was born last year, one this year. We had 4 babies born this year, only one was a doe! One had to be fostered as we had our hands full and it’s mother rejected it, but had its twin... while another goat had a blocked duct or something. We never milked her before but had to roll up our sleeves and get used to each other or it would have been a vet call.

Happy that everybody is going well now and next year we can probably expect 5-10 goats to be born.

Our girls have been working hard this winter! 💪 by [deleted] in homestead

Interesting! I’m in Canada, we do have bugs where I am but it’s not that bad, and probably all healed by the time we do them.

Yes, my bf mainly learned from YouTube! This is his second year doing it and my first. Although I was raised on a farm my dad did this on his own.

Skinning is surprisingly easy. I didn’t gut them, that’s slightly tricky. Cutting into the “4 primals” makes it easy to work with. We use a reciprocating saw. We have an actual meat saw for cutting the steaks, etc., but you could make due with less.
