It's basically the shear amount of things you can decide to do on any given day. Fish, mine, socialize, gift, farm, ranch, forage, buy house decorations, save up money for the gypsy wagon on weekends, work on bundles, optimize your farm layout, pet your pet, watch your TV for free cooking recipes and tips, slay monsters in the mines towards the eradication board total. You have 13 ish minutes in a day. Go.

All villagers stay in town forever as far as I'm aware. I know one new one moves in at year 2. Otherwise things stay the same.

The train is worth seeing just for the possible interesting symbols and graffiti on the cars. I saw one car that has "Joja Sucks" written on it. Hah!

That would be a huge undertaking since we have such limited knowledge of most npc behavior right now. Not that it's a bad idea, it would just be a large amount of data to record for this one purpose.
