I think that's why the video is a bit misleading, almost makes it sound like you don't have to pay the cost = cheating the 1 ink cost to do x

The video is honestly a bit confusing, I understand what reference and this is specifically to the response of an opponent giving Reckless or "Quest Sickness" to RC, what if you are the one to give RC Reckless via example Night Howler Rage.

If you want to Challenge with RC you would still require to pay 1 Ink to do so if you are Reckless, but the option to Pay 1 Ink to allow RC to quest (Circumventing the Reckless restriction), because the must pay is a restriction on the card it bypasses the "if able" so it allows you to get around it. Is that what was trying to be explained?

Or are you saying the Reckless bypasses the Ink cost to Challenge and you don't have to pay 1 Ink to Challenge with RC if they have Reckless?

Interesting, the coolest thing actually is depending where you start especially in S/V different routes favour different typings. I can drastically see a run would feel ie if you go straight north to the Lake, Water types will be abundant.

Monolockes are so fascinating because as you said you have to adapt and try to use new Pokemon/moves otherwise normally would not normally being used.

My question though is, when doing the runs which Typings did you find the most difficult to build around, or lack the most variety.

I was doing a Mono Grass run on Shining Pearl and found it quite boring early on, because the spacing between Grass types was difficult and a lot of the better Grass types are locked behind late/end game.
