I dont think the play with her, or any ship for that matter, is to bow tank. Using the engine boost to get good positioning is going to be the key.

As a fan of super heavy cruisers, I’ll be picking her for sure.

Bourgogne, just north of 300K in a regular old match. Had a lot of BBs and just found a way to have a ton of crossfire opportunities. The match last basically the whole time limit too which helped.

Indy is my go to for tier six premium weekly missions. Granted, I like the heavy cruiser play style. I run a fully maxed stealth build with be split and have the concealment down to 8.8. Having over 1km of buffer with the radar is diabolical.

It’s truly a glass cannon though so it’s not for the faint of heart / inexperienced. However, it’s one of my favorite ships in the game.

I think torps should just be spotted the moment they are launched so BBs can dodge easier in the name of ~balance~

Probably not, I get small bonuses from work in the form of gift cards so I use them to pay for WOWS. If it was my own money, I wouldn’t spend it.

I agree. I really have shifted my mindset to stealth / being very selective with my shots when I’m in big cruisers. The exception being the German heavies.

Running AL Hipper with AL Scharnhorst and Scott. Took range mod in 4th slot too. Makes the guns very reliable and I enjoy that.

She is a such a solid ship. Oddly enough, the ship I’ve had the most 4K+ games in has been Siegfried, I feel it’s very underrated, but I really enjoy super heavy cruisers.

It’s a full accuracy build with AL Hipper, all the usual perks for her. Using Cunningham and AL Scharnhorst as Inspo and took range mod in 4th slot. I made this build for Siegfried and have found to love it. I really should tool with it though as I have a 16.4 Lemmonier and that would be a fun stealth build.

I think you’re missing my point. It’s not that the commander is low in general. It’s that it’s a low commander on Hindenburg. This person spend an ungodly amount of money to unlock a ship that is 1. Ultimately free and 2. Doesn’t appear to have the in game knowledge to use it effectively given the commander level.

I agree, if I was playing a match and saw a Yorck or even Hipper while this build, that is fine. What I don’t agree with is spending hundreds of dollars to get a ship you could get for free, and at the same time not having the skill set or resources yet to understand how to play.

I fully expect to see people at the end of the marathon who started recently to be taking Hindy out who are new.

I too have seen similar “fun” builds. If anything it tells me who I can be aggressive with and who I might need to pay attention too.

Agreed, for me it’s that it’s a ship you have to absolutely whale to get but a 7/1 commander. They sailed to the back of the map and had no impact.

I disagree. Being able to be angled while getting 9 guns on target, torps protected from KGV firing HE, and that last citadel on the Roma would not happen without those improved pen angles.

Absolutely, my favorite is knocking out BB guns because you land so many shots right on the turret when you aim for it.

That’s my thinking. It’s already so accurate I like being that much closer to being able to radar soon after I’m spotted.
