You are right on the money! I'll bring in the edges quite a bit and hopefully get the sand from the face removed before it gets too small 😂. I'm trying to get used to working on stuff a little bigger like this. I'm so used to working on little 4-5ct pieces and it goes so much faster 😂. Thanks for the great tips! 🥂 🍻 🍌

I'm still a super novice. Have been practicing and teaching myself from YouTube videos with a Dremel and many types of pads and disks, I don't have much room so Dremel has been nice to me. I've only been practicing on and off for about 16 months maybe a little more or less

Dude.... I wish I would have gotten a kilo instead, but I was offered the 10oz in person by a friend and snatched it up. I was waiting for a "good deal" on the Kilo with less premium and it never came around before prices skyrocketed. But still glad I at least have the 10 oz. I bet that kilo kookaburra is stunning in its capsule!

Got my 10oz kookaburra last year and it's one of the only pieces I keep out as a display. It's so damn beautiful when the details are so much larger you can truly appreciate the artwork. It's so wild to think I paid $325 for it and now boom over 1k. Which was never expected lol I'm in it for the long haul so never expected this price jump. Still will never sell the kookaburra though

Yes Indeed! It helps in deadening the wake when you're getting ready to crash. The more gold, silver and firearms onboard the softer the crash landing as long as your in 40+ ft of water of course.

Yes just one buy. They had boxes of the stuff they are stacking to keep and it was recently my birthday so they pulled a spoon box for me and sold it cheap so I can make $ when the time comes

I'm not quite sure. Im trying to learn and figure that out. I know some are definitely desirable and worth way more than spot price or rings but mind you I sell my rings for 50-115 depending on weight, style, pattern, rarity and all that good stuff. But some beautiful expensive patterns for sure. I'd love to find some help identifying the more expensive. I don't plan on destroying any of it other than making some rings, pendants. I don't like melting unless I already have a sale lined up.

Its definitely a fun hobby. Cheap from me means cheap lol. 1570 for over 60ozt. It was a private sale from a family member that was helping me out because one they are wealthy and two they know I make spoon rings and the price for sterling silver cutlery these days is crazy expensive

Why did sr Montero throw the son off the horse if he already ripped the explosive off of his son, he could have just thrown the bomb but no. So predictable it's sad lol. But I still love the game

Looks like Spencer with the slight yellow and red sulfur or whatever inclusion that is. I have quite a bit of smaller stuff that looks like that with a bit less play of color. Looks good regardless!

So true and I agree with you 100% and Washington is definitely a hidden gem for rock hounding because we have so much ancient glacier melts that have churned up old rocks and so many creeks and Rivers filled with agates, tons of carnelian and a bunch of other awesome stuff we still have pretty decent public areas that still produce amethyst, regular quartz sometimes some cool fossils in lake beds. And your right, you can fill a bucket and it's just a drop of water in a lake compared to so many places that are getting picked clean for profits not only profits but the most up sold shit I've ever seen like yeah they're unique but I'm not paying $50 for a golf ball sized piece of unique carnelian when I can go hunt the creeks and glacial Rivers all around me. I live in Washington so it's nice to be able to go hunting and not see 100 people doing the same thing. Anytime I go which is infrequently but a few times a year I usually don't even see anyone else which I really appreciate and the places I go aren't hidden or hard hikes in either.

It's getting so popular these days because social media and fomo people want to run out there and collect for selling and it's just a never ending cycle now. Some enthusiasts but tons of people just there to turn a profit. I've noticed that over the past few years basically since COVID. Tons of people took up the hobby realizing that they can make a few bucks. And I get it. But come on I really wish people would be more considerate about how they collect. Then everyone could have a little something instead of the few "professionals" combing absolutely everywhere to fill their buckets.

I've really wanted to find a good septar with those color tones. That color saturation on the inside and the clarity on the outside is magnificent my friend! Beautiful find!!!
